Things to know about this universe:

The mate bond is not something either main lead has experienced or even seen experienced by others openly. You'll learn more about this from Esmeray's POV, but the chapters before this note express why the crown prince hasn't.

Their wolves know and recognize it immediately, but unlike in most books, their scents aren't the only indiction. The bond in my universe is like a physical force smashing into them and locking into place, rather than an overwhelming scent.

Their scent grows stronger or more potent, the longer they spend strengthening the bond.

Also, this story is being written as I go, so please be patient as I'm also editing, then sending it to a proofreader before posting. Most chapters will go up by 5 pm EST, but if you happen to notice it's past that time, note that they'll post before midnight.
