Belial POV Patience is not a virtue for me. I had already been waiting for the person above, who had announced the board meeting, for over twelve minutes. "What kind of joke is this?" I said bitterly, hitting the table with my fist. "And you call yourself a professional?" "Calm down, Belial," one of the shareholders who attended the meeting requested. Our last fashion show was a failure, and we lost millions in materials and supplies. She is the only one capable of pulling this company out of the mud. Suddenly, the boardroom doors were opened by the secretary, who stood to the side and announced the arrival of the person who supposedly would get us out of this major problem. With anger, I refused to look at her, but as soon as she took a step, a particular scent entered my nostrils. "Gardenias..." I murmured incredulously, raising my face in surprise to find a unique gaze of two colors: green and blue. "Ana..." Five years had passed since we divorced, since tearful eyes looked at me with pain and reproach but eventually signed the papers. However, now everything was different. "What beauty! I heard she was married but that her husband left her." "What a stupid man, I would be delighted with such a beautiful wife; she looks like a Goddess," were some of the comments whispered by the members of the board that I lead. My eyes were fixed on her as if some kind of magnetism had drawn them, and it seemed I wasn't the only one. "What is she doing here?" I muttered, pushing aside my thoughts with a furrowed brow, being heard by my only friend. "I think she will be part of the board. Therefore, she is the salvation we were waiting for," he answered, holding back laughter. "Do you know her?" the other person, who couldn't stop smiling like an i***t, asked. "Of course." "And the boss?" he wanted to know. "Him too; in fact, he is the stupid ex-husband."
