"So you accept? It'll be tonight," I said, satisfied. "Of course, you can bring Verita. I have a surprise for both of you."
Ana had agreed to see me tonight. Her company was always to my liking, and I was sure she would gladly accept my gift. I never failed with my promises. And even though the last time I received a tremendous blow that still hurts, this time, it only hurt my pocket.
"It's worth it," I said while waiting for the next patient in my office.
