The conversation turned to business after dad started.
Mom excused herself. She said she wanted to catch up with her best friend, Aunt Elise. Aunt came a little late with her family so they weren't there earlier. Brother Ark, Pen, and sister Av went with mom.
I said goodbye that I was going to the restroom first, because nature was calling me.
So Dad, Brother Al, Grandpa, and Logan were left talking.
I immediately left and looked for the restroom. I met a maid so I went along too. When we got to the restroom, the maid said goodbye to us before leaving.
I didn't pay attention to him anymore and I immediately turned towards the door of the restroom, holding the door knob to turn it and I was about to push the door to open it when suddenly someone forced it open inside. I quickly let go of the door knob so I wouldn't be pulled forward by the force so we didn't and we almost bumped into the person who suddenly opened the door.
We were both shocked at what happened and stared at each other.
I saw a middle aged man wearing a waiter's uniform.
He was wearing a mask so I couldn't make out what he looked like, and only his two sharp and cold eyes could be seen.
I frowned as I looked at the person in front of me. Wondering why he's inside the women's CR.
It was as if he froze in his position when he saw me, but he immediately returned to the judge and quickly bowed to me and immediately explained. "I'm sorry ma'am, there's a blockage in one of the cubicles inside so I just fixed it," he said while still bowing.
I slightly narrowed my eyes as I observed him.
I didn't notice anything unusual about him apart from the fact that I couldn't see his face because he was still bowing and wearing a mask. That's why I moved aside to let him pass.
We accidentally brushed our hands in the process. It was as if he was electrocuted and he quickly moved his hand away from me.
I raised an eyebrow at him.
He looked away and couldn't look directly into my eyes. His actions were that of a child being caught red-handed.
My eyes flickered.
He repeatedly bowed before hurrying to leave after apologizing several times.
I stared at that man's back as he strode further away.
Although, I didn't notice anything suspicious just now, but...
My gut is telling me that something is definitely not right here...
Decided whether to go to the restroom. I immediately went inside one of the cubicles to pee. I scanned it first before sitting on the toilet bowl.
There is no problem.
After leaving the cubicle I opened the doors of each cubicle that was there one by one to check it. I carefully observed them one by one; checking every nook and cranny if there's something suspicious inside it, however I still didn't notice any problem.
I don't know. But I can't just shake off this feeling of uneasiness. As if something bad is about to happen.
My brows creased.
I continued checking the other places, but it's still the same.
I've looked at every corner of this restroom but I still can't find or see anything unusual.
I just decided to head to the CCTV room 'cause it's way faster and more convenient. Also, to confirm my hunch. If positive... Then this matter will no longer be as simple as it seems.
I won't even tell my family, and the Ferguson's if I'm not one hundred percent sure. I don't want to cause a false alarm.
I walked over to the sink to wash my hands before going to the CCTV room. I placed the two palms under the opening of the sensor faucet so that the sensor faucet could detect the presence of my hand so that it would turn on automatically. Because I suddenly stopped what I was doing.
Sharp if you look at the sensor faucet then I felt something in its opening.
Affirmative.
There's a tiny chip embedded inside it.
My lips slowly curled up.
Looks like this birthday banquet would be lively.
THIRD PERSON POV:
In a secluded and unnoticeable place a suspicious man was having a call to someone unknown. His whole body was enshrouded by a shadow, only his silhouette was barely discernible. Leaving him unrecognizable.
"First Mission. Complete." The man said in a deep hoarse voice.
After the man spoke. A sinister laugh could be heard on the other line.
[Good. Prepare for the next step.]
Albeit, the voice was not very clear, because of the static from the phone. Anyone can definitely notice the deep resentment, and hostility it contains.
"Got it."
The mysterious man immediately hung up and then walked to the right.
When the mysterious man was seen a little bit of light.
His identity was known.
Unbelievably, it was the waiter Allison just bumped into the restroom.
And his earlier nervous and confused behavior was replaced by a very evil, and ominous demeanor.
ALLISON'S POV:
My expression was taut as I walked towards the CCTV room. I can't help but to tighten my jaw knowing what I just discovered.
That seemingly small, and harmless nano chip was actually a friggin' bomb. I have always been very sensitive, and keen when it comes to technology, so I already know what it is the moment my eyes lay on it.
I'm still thinking about what if I didn't go to the restroom and no one discovered it.
Thinking that something might happen to my family. The whole body is cold. My face was very cold, and gloomy.
I just want to know who is its master mind. He better run faster. 'Cause I'll make sure that his end will definitely be very unpleasant and unforgettable.
When I got to the front door of the CCTV room, I immediately knocked.
If you are wondering how I found that room. I have my ways.
When I heard footsteps from inside.
I immediately adjusted my expression, and the initial cold and rigid face was now replaced by worry.
The door opened and I was greeted by a young man with messy hair as if he had just woken up.
He was a little surprised to see me but that was immediately replaced by a frown.
"Miss. This isn't a place for someone like you. Go back," he said coldly as he was about to close the door but I immediately stopped him. He frowned even more.
I smiled awkwardly at him. "Can I come in? I wanted to find my purse. I forgot where I left it. There are still important things in it so I really need to find it." I said with a pleading tone.
Of course, I'm just bluffing. It's just an excuse for him to let me in.
His forehead furrowed even more. He looked at me displeased. As if I'm some kind of nuisance who disturbed him. I didn't budge from his sharp gaze and I kept staring at him, as if I was really determined to find my purse.
I heard him click his tongue, and opened the door wider. My face lit up at what I saw.
"Make it faster," he snapped, turning away.
When his back was on me. The previously bright face suddenly became serious.
In a flash, I unhesitatingly chopped his neck making him lose his balance, and fainted. Successfully knocking him out.
I looked at him and shook my head. Doesn't even have a bit of vigilance. How could they let such a mediocre lad guard this place. Thank you Thank you Thank you
I closed the door and locked it after checking the periphery.
I approached the blind man, and drew my hands near his nose. Checking if it's still breathing.
When it was confirmed if he was still breathing. I dragged him on the side, tied him up, and put duct tape on his mouth. Just in case he wakes up, and will make a fuss.
I walked up to the huge LED screen. The screen was divided into small boxes, each small box has a different scenario. There are also many computers lining up in front of it.
I saw the CCTV footage of this in the CCTV room, so I immediately sat on the chair. My fingers are fast typing on the keyboard; deleting all my traces, and the evidence of what I did just now.
Mom, and Aunt Elise were clearly visible on a CCTV screen chatting happily while brother Ark, Pen, and sister Av were talking to Aunt Elise's two children.
Dad and Brother Al are still talking with the Old Ferguson, but Logan was no longer there and was replaced by Aunt Elise's husband.
I looked at the other footage, but I didn't see him.
I raised an eyebrow. Where did that go?
I immediately dismissed it from my mind and started my goal here.
As I observed the huge LED screen, I noticed that the CCTV footage where the restroom is is not functioning at all. It just stayed paused because its time wasn't running. You won't immediately notice if it's broken if you don't check it carefully because it still shows the picture of the hallway and the restroom door. The only difference is the numbers plastered on it don't work.
Not just one but a few of the CCTV footage on the big LED screen are also the same.
I turned to look at the bound man leaning on the side.
I clicked my tongue.
'Tsk. Such a careless guard.'
I thought disdainfully.
