"Call Logan for dinner," Grandpa ordered the servant. The maid was obviously surprised by what Grandpa taught.
"But Master, isn't that where the young master always eats in the room—"
The maid didn't finish what she had to say because Grandpa spoke again, "tell him that's strictly an order," Grandpa eyed the maid warningly. Not letting her finish what she said.
The maid immediately closed her mouth and immediately bowed respectfully to Grandpa, before turning her back and going up the stairs to follow her orders.
"The whole third floor is his room," Grandpa suddenly said. I looked at him.
I know if he's talking to me because I'm the only person here besides him. "Oh..." was my only response even though I was confused as to why he said that.
I followed Grandpa to the dining room. Just as we arrived, Logan was coming down the stairs. The grand staircase of this mansion can only be seen here in the dining room. He is wearing an oversized white t-shirt and dark gray pants. He was also wearing gray slippers. His hair was wet and messy, as if it had just come out of the shower.
I also immediately diverted my gaze. It was seen that Grandpa was already sitting on the seat in the middle while Grandpa Go was supporting him. I also followed Grandpa and sat in one of the empty seats on the side. I chose the one on the left side of this table next to Grandpa. Soon, Logan also entered the dining room and sat on Grandpa's right side, we were facing each other and Grandpa was in the middle.
After we all sat down, the helpers immediately moved when grandpa Go signaled them. My eyes lit up when I saw that almost all of the dishes they prepared were my favorite. After they put all the food on the table I couldn't help but drool at what I saw.
I heard Grandpa chuckled. "I had my cook prepare these dishes especially for you, as I was planning to invite you over. I specifically asked your sister about this," Grandpa said with a smile.
I smiled broadly at him. "Thank you, Grandpa."
Fortunately, I agreed to come here. Hehehe. I praised myself for making the right decision.
"It was nothing." He waved his hand. "This is the least thing I could do for asking for your time. Now, let's eat," he said.
We also started eating.
We eat in silence and only the sound of the spoon and fork hitting the plate can be heard at the dining table. I was just so focused on what I was eating that I noticed that I had used up the chicken fillets I bought. I looked up and looked for the container of chicken fillet and saw that it was far away from me and I couldn't reach it.
I stood up to take it but saw that it was empty so I just went back to sitting and continued eating.
I wish I could take more shots, it's still delicious. Ayt.
"What's wrong ija? Do you need something?" Grandpa suddenly asked when he noticed my behavior.
I just shook my head. "Oh no Grandpa." I said then bowed and was about to continue eating when suddenly someone put two chicken fillets on my plate.
Immediately, I raised my head again and saw that Logan had quietly returned to eating as if he had done nothing.
I frowned at him. This trip?
"Oh... I'm sorry, it looks like the maids' cooked chicken fillet is not enough." Suddenly, Grandpa looked up so I turned to him.
I quickly shook my head. "No, it's fine Grandpa. It's just that the fillet was cooked very well," he immediately explained.
Grandpa smiled broadly at me. "It's good that you like it." I also smiled back at him.
"Rascal, it's quite rare for you to be this generous." He turned to the quiet grandson. He had a big grin on his lips as he looked at his grandson with a sneer.
Logan didn't pay attention to him and kept his head down while continuing to eat.
"Since Allison seems to like the chicken fillet, why not give her all you have?" Grandpa suddenly suggested.
I almost choked on air. "No, no need, Grandpa. It's okay," he quickly refused.
I'm not that greedy to the point where I'll buy other people's food. Especially when it comes from the stone itself. He's just thankful that Grandpa is here and it's also food. It would be disrespectful when the food is passed around.
"Yes. That's more than enough for her. She shouldn't be so greedy," we suddenly heard Logan's cold voice.
I violently turned to where he was sitting. He was calmly wiping the corners of his lips with a table napkin.
I raised an eyebrow at him. "Why? Did I tell you to give it to me? You were the one who volunteered to give it, I didn't ask for it. Well, if you didn't have a spring inside of you, you wouldn't have done it. Tsk." He was constantly harvested and tortured.
It's too thick to call me greedy. It's like it's my fault that he willingly gave his food. Let me take all his food. Tch.
I really couldn't hold back. I've been soaking in this rock for a while, since we were in the dark alley, I've been holding back.
He slowly lowered and placed the table napkin he was holding on the table and looked at me calmly. "That's not what I meant. While chicken fillet is deemed low in fat and high in protein, excessive consumption is advised against. Maintaining a balanced diet is essential," he said while looking at me with a serious expression. Huh.
I looked at him mockingly. "What? You're my nutritionist now? Do you care how much I eat? It was my choice. If you're on a diet, go on a diet yourself. Don't blame me. Tsk." I retorted sneeringly. Why does he interfere? Was he saying that just to slight me?!
There was no change in his expression and he remained cold. It's as if he was just gazing at an inanimate object, something utterly insignificant and not worth the effort to evoke any emotion.
"I was just saying," he answered. His tone is indifferent.
"Well, it's not for my ears to hear." I fired sarcastically.
It is better for him to just stand there as a stone and remain mute so that the world can be at peace. It would be much more appreciated. Thank you
THIRD PERSON POV:
The old Ferguson looked at the two facing each other in shock. He was so dumbfounded that he couldn't even find words to say. He didn't expect that his casual words would spark a dispute.
Old Ferguson turned to see Grandpa Go standing by his side. "Did I say something that shouldn't be said?" This is a worrying question.
Grandpa Go just shook his head, because he too was confused by what was happening. Old Ferguson whispered something to grandfather Go and then left immediately.
When grandfather Go finally left, old Ferguson turned his attention to the two like fire and water. The one whose face seems to be made of ice because of the extreme coldness of the expression and doesn't even freeze, while the other one is full of anger and the only thing missing is that it eats the person in front of it alive with its very evil look.
Old Ferguson just sighed. "Alright, you two, simmer down." The old man interjected solemnly, gone his usual playfulness.
Allison looked away to calm herself. As soon as he saw the look on Logan's face, his mixture immediately came together. Just looking at that perpetually expressionless face is already an eyesore. It would be better if he wore a mask; there's no difference between it and his face anyway. It would also spare people from ruining their day.
Logan still didn't react and just stared seriously at Allison. Wondering why she was so upset.
When the old man saw that they had finally calmed down, his big smile returned to his lips. "Now, now. Let's not spoil the food; let's continue eating," the old man tried to ease up the atmosphere a bit.
Allison turned to the old man and smiled at him. "I apologize for my behavior earlier, Grandpa," he apologized.
The old man just shook his head. "Forget it, just continue eating. Look, you don't want to waste your favorite foods right? Eat, eat." It turned to the grandson. "Rascal! Since you're so reluctant to give your chicken fillets to Allison, make sure you eat them all! Or don't even mention balancing your food! You don't even have food to eat! Hmph!" He strongly reprimanded his grandson. A huge disparity to his friendly attitude towards Allison.
"..." Logan chose to remain silent. He was feeling extremely wronged, although his expression remained cold. What wrong did he do to be scolded indiscriminately again?
When Allison saw this, she secretly snickered. Huh. It's good for him. Please worry. Thank you
Because of the old man's antics, the previously tense atmosphere became harmonious again, and they continued eating their dinner peacefully this time.
