Wait, wait, wait, we'll give you the money," Natasha said.
"What?" Mrs. Abigail shouted surprisingly.
"But! only on one condition. If you'll marry Cedric Forson, in place of me," Natasha continued.
"Hahaha; my daughter is so smart. That's a good idea," Mrs. Abigail said with a smile on her face. "Yeah, I think this is a brilliant idea. That's my sweet daughter. This way, Pamela will do all those works and make our plan work. Now, my sweet daughter Natasha can rest and continue receiving her treatments as a princess at home, right?" My father nodded in agreement.
Standing almost confused as they seemed to agree with the idea, I wondered:
Is it the same son of Mr. Williams, the multi-millionaire?
Why will they want me to marry him instead of their beloved princess?
And what plan do they have in place?
As these questions echoed in my brain, I immediately remembered my dying mother.
Mr. Patrick Toole had a plan already that he wanted revenge on his close friend Mr. Williams Forson, who he thought snitched on him and made his life miserable some years back.
So, because of how evil his new family are, they all sat down and brought up an evil idea to bring down his friend as he did to him. Since it's an evil idea, they just can't get anybody to help them do that because if they go for an outsider, the person might snitch on them later and they couldn't think of anyone and they also didn't want to involve their daughter Natasha Toole, because they loved her so much and felt she's too precious for the work.
Even though they didn't want her to do any dirty work yet, they had no option then to make her play the role to make the plan work.
Natasha, a twenty-one-year-old lady and the second daughter of Mr. Patrick Toole and the first daughter of Mrs. Abigail Toole, had been over pampered and over spoiled by her parents. She still lived with them and therefore really couldn't do any good for herself but to feel jealous and envious of other people. She wants everything good to herself but bad for others, and her parents always backed her up to do everything she wanted; she was convinced of being right always.
Natasha didn't want to be directly involved in the plan because she hasn't seen the guy before but has heard bad news about him that he's ugly, a womanizer, and he makes everybody around him feel bad with his behavior. She didn't want to do it despite his wealth. Natasha thought smart in her room when she overheard my conversation with her parents and came in to push everything on me since she realized I desperately needed the money. For her, it was a win-win situation since they also needed the help but she already didn't like the idea of doing it herself. So, taking advantage of my circumstance, she thought this was the best way to make her step sister do it since I'm the first daughter of my father and can't make any secret of the family out. She knew her parents would like the idea and support her up, which they did eventually.
I asked, "Cedric Forson?"
"The illegitimate son of the Forson's family?"
"Isn't he in jail right now?"
"Yup, He's a dirt rag and a good for nothing loser. And that's why I can't marry him," Natasha replied.
"That's right, Pamela is also your daughter, so she can be the one who marries Cedric Forson," Natasha said to her Dad.
"Yes Pamela, you are my daughter, right? And that's why you've come to ask for money for your mom's kidney dialysis," Mr. Patrick said to Pamela.
"So now this is the condition. I want you to marry Cedric Forson. The first son of the richest man in this city who happens to be my best friend's son. The Forson family is going to hold a grand ball this weekend and they are going to announce the heir of the Forsons' inheritance which I know is his first son because he had told me earlier. But before he finally hands over everything to him, he has to marry first. And a lot of rich and influential friends close to the family will be coming along with their daughters to be introduced to the one who takes over all the companies of the Forson family. So that the heir of the inheritance will take a liking to one of them and eventually marry her," Mr. Patrick said.
"And rich people have the belief that you can't control a lot of wealth without a wife. And you know Mr. Williams and I have been friends for so many years so he's told me to bring my daughter along. So, if you really need the money for your mother's medical bills then go prepare yourself and look very beautiful and attractive so that he will fall for you immediately he sets his eyes on you or even if you have to seduce him more, just do it and I don't care how you do all this but just find your own way to do it."
"I will give you USD 221,250 to go deposit for your mum's medical bills if you're able to get his attention first. And if he eventually marries you and you're able to get me all what I want, then I will pay the rest for you," Mr. Patrick said.
"But dad, why do you want me to marry him? For what exactly?" Pamela asked.
"Good question asked," Mr. Patrick replied. "Mr. Williams came here to talk to me about wanting his son Cedric to get married to my daughter and apologized for abandoning me when the government was taking away my company and putting me in jail. He had the connection and informants to help me during those periods but refused because he wanted to be revered as the most important man in the city. He has proposed and we have agreed that in order to rebuild the lost relationship to its peak again, our children should be joined together in marriage."
My father would have made his beloved daughter Natasha marry Cedric but he doesn't want her to take that risk. Instead, he is using my predicament as an advantage to marry Cedric.
What is in it for him and why will he allow me to marry the son of the most famous and rich person at Natasha's expense?
