It was already past midnight when Caison heard the front door open. The footsteps walked to Caison’s door there was a slight touch on the doorknob but the person decided against it. Caison heard himself breathing out slightly.
Disappointment crept into his thoughts.
He wondered what made Ralf hesitate although the answer is as clear as day. Then he remembered what his mother had said earlier.
Caison stood up and went to his bedroom door. He waited to listen in to the room where there was no sound.
Should I knock or just walk in?
He marched up and down the hall thinking what he should do next. At that exact moment when Caison walked up to the bedroom door and took a deep breath; Ralf opened the door shirtless with only a pair of joggers that hang low on his waist.
