Sophia and Ryder are determined to make their relationship work, despite James's disapproval. They start sneaking around, meeting in secret whenever they can. They choose hidden spots in the city, always looking over their shoulders to make sure they're not being followed.
One night, they meet in an abandoned park on the outskirts of town. The moon is full, casting a silver glow over the deserted playground. Sophia feels a thrill of excitement as Ryder takes her hand, leading her deeper into the shadows.
