  Zale   The last thing I wanted to do was investigate the northern border situation when my mate was waiting for me. A single taste of her wasn't near enough. There were so many things I wanted to do to her.   "Sir," one of my wolves snapped to attention as i neared. One of the ones that always tried to curry my favor. He brushed his long brown locks from his soft green eyes, they reminded me of a gentle first sprig of spring. Sometimes I thought about his offers, what he would look like on his hands and knees and with his mouth full of me. But, I had no time for idle daydreams.   "What's the situation?"   "It's one of our scouts. They came back from their trip up north to investigate that pack there, but something is wrong."   I sighed. Something was always wrong. "Take me to them."
