DARK ROMANCE

CHAPTER 2: LONG WAIT

when Monday rolled around,as Alex sat in his office surrounded by his buddies,he could not contain his experience of yesterday at the park to himself. he was itching to spill the details of his encounter with the girl he met at the park yesterday. his friends, always ready to poke fun at him, playfully but seriously scoffed at his claims of falling head over heels. " come on Alex,you ? in love? no way" Ben one of his friends said and let out a little chuckle, trying to ruffle his feathers. this statement made the other guy in the room named ken laugh out loud .

But Alex paid no mind to their teasing, his mind completely consumed by thought of daisy. he couldn't help but keep checking his phone since yesterday night till this afternoon, hoping for a call or a message from her. he has slipped her his business card right, he thought to him self, hoping to hear from her yesterday night but got nothing with each passing minutes, he replayed their brief but magical interaction at the park in his mind, he could not help but grin , shocking his friends every passing minutes.

LAST NIGHT.

meanwhile last night, daisy, the girl in question was also caught in a whirlwind of emotions she couldn't get Alex out of her thoughts, their brief but sweet interaction at the park was like a beautiful memory she will want to keep forever. when she got home, she searched high and low for his business card, desperate to reach out to him. but to her dismay, she realized that she had absent mindedly left the card in the car she had taken back home. a wave of sadness washed over her as she realized her mistake " why, won't I love in this life, why am I so careless". she was so sad and angry with her careless act, she was just thinking about his captivating eyes , smile and their heart warming conversation that she was so careless with the only thing that can make them connect.

PRESENTLY.

through out the day, both Alex and daisy found themselves lost in a sea of day dreams about each other. their heart acted with longing, yearning for a chance to reconnect. Alex waited all day for her call or text " I thought she likes me too, or was I wrong with my thoughts" Alex thought to himself.

" I never knew she won't want to talk to me again, foolish girl" Alex said when the sun was about to set, he waited all day, something he has never done before,he was sad, he knew meeting this girl was changing him into a weakly which was not good for him nor her, he could not even concentrate at work through out , he was thinking when a call came in. he saw it was an unknown number, he smiled widely reaching from ear to ear looking like a fool in love,he was just hoping it is daisy calling but unfortunately he had a disgusting voice not the sweet voice he was hoping for , it was a man speaking he said" hello, good day sir, good day Mr qin, I am the driver from yesterday, the lady I picked up dropped her card in my car so I decided to call thinking it was hers but..but I never knew it was Mr qin, am so so... sorry sir , I will deliver it to your office " the driver was sweating,he almost peeped in his pants who don't know the Great Alexander qin, he never knew it was his card, he regret why calling he just wants this man to cut the call so he can breathe freely.

with the anger and disappointment Alex was feeling he hanged up the call immediately" mtcheew " he hissed.

" we are not ment to be , I can't love now I have a lot of things to deal with, I never want to see her again " he said out of anger and disappointment.
