“How did you even come up with all of this? This is…..She was saying then sighed. She did that just to push back her tears.
“Wait, is this why you wanted to have a moment with my mom earlier?”

“What did you two discuss?” Cassie asked, taking a step closer to me. I smiled and instantly wrapped both my arms around her waist.
“I said it earlier. I respect you too much not to do the right thing. I know how much Mom means to you, so I had to ask for her blessings to do this. I’m sure she’s here and she’s happy to witness this. I also assured her that her baby girl and grandchild are in good and safe hands.”
