“Well done. I can see the head already. I need just one deep push from you.” The doctor’s voice came through.
At this point, my eyes were very heavy with tears. Seeing Cassie in so much tears, pain, and discomfort hurt me so much more than I can even explain.
And sadly, I was there feeling almost useless. There was nothing I could do to make her feel better than holding her hands tightly and encouraging her with beautiful words.
Not letting go of Cassie’s hand which we strongly intertwined with mine. I leaned against her and placed a long, deep kiss on the crown of her sweaty forehead.
“You’ve done so well, my love. Our miracle is almost here. We are finally going to have our angel in our hands. Just a big push and all of it will be over.”
