I came to a halt at the gate of the cemetery, causing my husband who was walking beside me to do the same.
“You okay?” He asked with so much concern as usual.
“You don’t have to do this,” I mumbled, staring intently.
“And why do you think this isn’t from my heart?” He challenged.
I shrugged. “You’ve been acting strange all day. I mean, today was meant to be the final day of my official bedrest, but out of the blue, you reminded me that we needed to be here.”
