“Enough of the talk about the deal. I wonder how Shawn is doing.” I mumbled, staring at my father, who was seated across from me.
He arched a brow at me. “Shouldn’t you be relieved that he’s out of work, having the time of his life?”
I scoffed, knowing Dad was right. “It’s crazy that Shawn could actually waive his principles. Indeed, love is no respecter of persons.”
“I may be his father, but I was almost convinced that he was going to end up alone. He told me several times not to ever expect grandchildren from him, so I had my hopes on you and Kayla. So yeah, I guess love has no respect for all, including strong-hearted people like your brother.” Donald mumbled.
I chuckled. “Your eyes on me and Kayla?”
Dad nodded. “You especially.”
