I WAS inside the school early on Saturday morning and took notice of Netmun in the library. He was just sitting at one of the tables, reading a book.
“Netmun?” I questioned, walking over to where he was sitting.
“Oh Mistress Hon-”
I waved my hand in front to stop him. “Please call me Bartleby.”
“Right, sorry Bartleby.” Netmun replied, his voice was soft and seemingly fragile. I took notice of his features, he wasn’t ragged and all that from the first time I had met them. If anything, Netmun looked cute. He ran his hands through his short, curly black hair and glanced up at me.
“I-”
“What?” He smiled, his green eyes reflected back towards mine.
“You’re quite cute Netmun.” I stated. Netmun nodded in agreement, but it looked like he didn’t want to take it that way.
“Uh huh, I’m cute. Look, if anything, I personally find myself attractive.” He spoke in a rather pompous manner, moving his hair out of the way from his face.
I rolled my eyes in the back of my head a bit. “Okay then narcissist.” I mumbled.
“What was that?”
“Nothing!” I grinned in a sarcastic tone. “Anyway, we should get going. I don’t know how long you’ve been here, but it’s best that we leave. Plus, it’s a Saturday, not monday.”
“Okay, let’s get going then.” Netmun got up from where he was sitting and walked past me to the front of the library entrance then left.
“s**t! Hey wait up!” I ran, catching up to him. I kept on running to where I accidentally bumped into someone.
“OW!” Said person fell onto the floor and so did I.
“I’m so sorry!” I stated, getting up from the fall.
“It’s okay, really. I’m fine.”
That voice. I immediately recognized who it was.
“Leander?” I looked up to see Leander, brushing his white-blonde hair out of the way.
“Yep. It’s me alright! Hey Netmun.” Leander waved towards Netmun, who waved back as if he was nervous to see him.
“What are you doing here?” Netmun questioned.
“Funny thing is that’s what I was about to ask the both of you.” Leander replied. “Why are you guys here at the library on a Saturday morning?”
“No reason.” I stated. “I saw Netmun in the library and wanted to get him out.”
“Okay then. Anyway, we have that party tomorrow, remember?”
“Oh yeah!” Netmun placed his hand on his forehead. “I forgot about that!”
I looked at both Leander and Netmun as I backed away from them a bit to look at the two of them. “Um, party?”
“Yeah. We-I mean, Gravsny decided for us to host a Gentlemen’s Club party for all of us, and for you being with us for the past...how long has it been so far?” Leander explained.
“Two months.” I replied.
“Right. Two months.” Leander continued. “You’ve done well around us so far, even when you’re not with us. But now, you get to be with all nine of us at this crazed out party.”
“Cool! So, who’s hosting it? Or is it going to be that I have to stay there or…?”
Netmun chuckled a bit. “Say, Bartleby, did you not check out the Gentlemen’s Club FAQ? Or, did you ever check it when you first came to see us for the first time?”
“As far as I can remember, not really.” I replied. I looked at Netmun and Leander, who were both nodding their heads in agreement.
“Come with us. If you will.” Netmun replied.

We were at the front of the Bad G.E.N.T.L.E.M.E.N’s Club door and everything was still there. I looked at Netmun and Leander, and just gave a bit of a shrug.
“Look over here.” Leander pointed to the far right side of the wall where he was standing as I walked over to see where he was looking.
It was a medium-sized poster with the words “G.E.N.T.L.E.M.E.N’s Club FAQ” written in bold. I was quite mesmerized by how it had all looked. It was quite organized but not numbered off.
“So, which one do I look at?” I questioned.
“This one right here.” Netmun pointed at the question that talked about the parties as I bent over a bit to read it silently.
“Huh.” I looked back up to see them. “Wild and fun huh?”
“Yeah.” Leander chuckled. “They do escalate sometimes a bit quickly. Not like destroying property or anything like that, but sometimes we get into some random hookups or get passed out from drinking.”
“Yeah, we do.” Netmun agreed, nodding his head a bit. He then looked at Leander. “Shouldn’t you be going? You do have a party to setup at Gravsny’s place.”
“It’s at Gravsny’s?!” I yelled, quickly covering my mouth. Netmun and Leander gave me an odd look.
Leander coughed. “Yeah, it is. Gravsny’s family is quite rich so they let us host parties there. It’s a really nice house too. Want to come?”
“Sure. I don’t see why not.” I replied. Netmun agreed that all of us should go.
Netmun and I followed Leander out of Crossburrow Academy and to his car. The car was quite nice, it was a maroon red color and the inside had black leather seats with gold framing on them.
Netmun gave a whistle. “Nice ride Leander!”
“Thanks! You do realize that my family is rich right?” Leander stated.
“Oh yeah,” Netmun chuckled a bit, “I forgot there for a moment.”
“Wait.” I questioned this while getting inside the backseat of Leander’s car. “How many rich members are in the Gentlemen’s Club?”
“Three.” Leander stated, opening up the driver’s door and getting inside. “There’s me, Nivelton, and Gravsny.”
Netmun coughed. “Don’t forget about me too! I am the son of the Dean after all.”
“Sorry.” Leander apologized then turned to look back at me. “There’s also Netmun too. He’s the son of the-”
“Dean? Yes, I know.” I replied. “I’ve known it since the beginning when I first met you guys. I’m not dumb.”
“We should get going.” I heard Netmun whisper as Leander turned back to the front of the car and started the car’s ignition.
As we were backing away from the parking lot, I couldn’t help but feel ecstatic. Mainly because I get to see what Gravsny’s house looks like, and the possibility of meeting his family. I’ve gotten to known them for the past two months, though I’ve never got to see any of their family members yet. Today will be that day.

“We’re here!” Leander stopped at the side of Gravsny’s house and unlocked all the doors. “Everyone out!”
I got out from the backseat, my feet landing onto the smooth side of the road. The time was later in the day, so the sun was still out. When I walked out from the car, I couldn’t believe my eyes. “This is Gravsny’s house?”
Leander nodded. “Yep, it sure is.”
“It’s beautiful.” I replied. The house was all white with silver windows and a white door with a gold handle had stood in the front. And this was just the exterior, but the interior has me wondering more.
The three of us walked over to the front entrance.
“Let me get it.” Netmun stated as he rang the doorbell. We sat out there for a moment, and then out came Gravsny.
“Hey guys. Leander.” Gravsny stated, looking at Leander. His dark blonde hair was in a bit of a mess, and I saw his eyes. They were a color that’s quite rare to see: Blue Green. But they worked out on him perfectly.
“Hey, mind if we come in?” Netmun asked.
Gravsny opened the door and held it open. “Do come in.”
We walked inside and I was even more in awe because of the interior. There was a spiraling white staircase, some rooms were located at the top, and I couldn’t help but notice the couches, among other pieces of furniture, being set up.
“Nice place.” I stated, still admiring everything around the house.
“It’s no big deal, really.” Gravsny replied.
“Mind telling me though, will I ever get to meet your parents?” I questioned. The room went silent as soon as I said this.
Netmun broke the silence. “I think you mean parent-”
“Netmun!” Leander quickly hit Leander in the arm.
“Oh no, it’s fine really. I’ll tell her.” Gravsny gave a nervous chuckle and he waved a hand motion towards my face. “Come with me real quick.”
I followed Gravsny over close to where the kitchen was as he looked at me. “So, I might as well tell you.”
“I was asking you about your parents. What happened?” I asked, my voice lowering a bit more.
“Well, you see, my parents divorced a while ago. I only live here with my Dad.” Gravsny explained.
“...Do you ever get to see your Mom?” I asked.
“On rare occasions, my mother ever comes to see me.”
“In other words,” I reply, “she doesn't actually see you at all?”
“...Yeah.” Gravsny voice went low. “The last time she ever came to see me was, I’d say three years ago.”
“How old are you anyway Gravs-”
“Please call me Gravsny and not Gravs.” His voice went from quiet and on the verge of tears to acting mad at me.
“Right. My apologies.” I replied. We got out from the little corner we were at as we walked away.
“Anyway, we should finish setting this place up shall we?” Leander said, the rest of us nodded our heads in agreement.
“I agree.” I responded. “ Here, let me go get the cups-”
“Done.” Gravsny smirked.
“What about the tabl-”
“Done.” Gravsny said again.
“Okay, but the chairs?”
“You can do that.” Gravsny answered. “Maybe Netmun can help you out too!”
“Honestly, I don’t mind.” Netmun gave a little shrug with his shoulders.
“Good. Chairs are located upstairs in the back room. Do bring them down.” Gravsny replied.
“Come on Bartleby, let’s go!” Netmun began to walk up the steps, I walked from behind, following him up the steps.
●●●
We were in the back room where the chairs were located. They were a mixture of leather chairs as well as the pulldown party type of chairs you find at parties.
I helped Netmun out with taking one of the chairs out from the cabinet they were in and dragging them to the backroom.
“Hey Netmun.”
“Yeah?”
“I’m curious to know.” I asked this while we were getting the chairs out.
“...About what exactly?” Netmun replied, giving me a bewildered look.
“Do you like guys?”
“No.”
“But I-”
“Don’t assume my sexuality. I don’t like guys, what makes you think that I do-”
“Eliezer talked about something that happened in the hallway between you and a guy so-”
“You do realize that was two months ago when we first met you right?” Netmun placed the chair back down close to where the room’s exit was.
“Yeah, I know. Look, Netmun, if you are gay, you could just tell the guy-”
“I’m not gay. Besides, even if I was, then the club would out me for it or something along those lines. I think they’re homophobic but I can-”
“Are you guys bringing down those chairs or not?” Gravsny’s voice echoed from downstairs.
“We’re coming!” Netmun yelled back. He moved his feet over to the chair that he had placed down and carried one side. His eyes looked back to me. “Now come on, we have the rest of these chairs to lift.”
“Okay.” I responded, my voice low. I walked over to the other side from where Netmun was standing and lifted up the chair. We backed away from the room to the steps, bringing the chair downstairs and placing it onto the floor.
“Thanks!” Leander smiled as he took the chair we brought down and pushed it over towards another room in the house.
Netmun and I repeated this cycle until all the chairs were out of the backroom. Anytime Leander came to pick them up, I noticed Netmun being rather quiet. He didn’t thank him back, I did.
Something tells me that Netmun was gay and it’s been a secret he’s kept for a while. It could be one of the things he didn’t want to say.
