Mya "Okay, Mom. I'll be back soon." I yelled from the livingroom. The kitchen and livingroom are door to door but I had to scream Momma has the blender on. "Going with that Dwayne boy again?" she asked me. "Yes." "Have fun." was the last thing she said before I left the house. Dwayne and I have been going on plenty of dates now. No, he's not my boyfriend. August has been completely forgotten about since we broken up. He's been doing his thing and I've been doing mine. We went to Applebee's since I didn't want to go anywhere fancy. I ordered me some BBQ boneless wings and mozzerella sticks. We went for a walk on the beach then shortly after, Dave and Busters. I got tired so Dwayne drove me home. I just feel like he's been leading me on taking me out on dates and buying me things. "I had a great time, Dwayne." I said smiling. He just chuckled and smiled. "Yea, well me too." I leaned in for a kiss only to be stopped by him. "Is there something wrong?" I curiously asked. He sighed and looked down the road. "I have a girlfriend." that line made my heart shatter to pieces. I got out the car and ran in to the house. Niggas ain't s**t. I went upstairs and connected my phone to my Beats Pill. Do you ever think of me when you lie, Lie down in your bed, your bed of lies? And I knew better than to look in your eyes They only pretend you would be mine And oh how you made me believe You had me caught in every web that you weave But do you ever think of me when you lie, Lie down in your bed, your bed of lies? You could never make eye contact Everything you got was based off of my contacts You a fraud, but I'mma remain icon-stat Balenciaga's on my boots with the python strap You was caught up in the rush, and you was caught up in the thrill of it You was with me way before I hit a quarter mil' in it Put you in the crib and you ain't never pay a bill in it I was killin' it, man you got me poppin' pills in it I told Baby hit you, I said this nigga buggin' Cause I was doing it for us, I told 'em f**k the public Couldn't believe that I was home alone contemplating Overdosin', no more coastin', no more toastin' over oceans They say you don't know what you got 'til it's gone They say that your darkest hour comes before your dawn But there was something I should've asked all along Imma ask on the song I feel like this song is preaching to me right now. Dwayne ain't s**t and neither is August. But I lowkey miss my bestfriend. I wonder whoever his girlfriend is must be happy to have him. August I flew in to New Orleans to see Mya again. I know what you thinking right about now. 'Oh my god, August is rude', 'August is mean' well I wasn't thinking right for me to yell at Mya like that. I just want another chance. I knocked on her door to be greeted by her mother. She had on an apron mixing the ingredients in for her red velvet cake. I knew it was red velvet since it was red. "What you want, August?" she asked me, still mixing. "I came to speak to Mya." she stepped aside and let me in. Before I headed upstairs, she grabbed my arm. "Mama knows best and I believe that you and Mya will make it work again." she gave me a warm smile and I headed upstair and heard Nicki Minaj blasting through the door. I couldn't know because she wouldn't have heard it. I opened it to be greeted by Mya. "August, what are you doing here?" by now, the music stopped and I heard her sniffling. "I came to talk to you about the last time I was down here." I sat down on the bed and she moved up, sitting Indian style on the bed. "When you called me out my name?" "Yea, I want to come to you and apologize like a man should. Calling you out of your name was very disrespectful and also degrading. My mama always told me to respect women and to never hurt their feelings. It'll only make karma come back around. I just want another chance to make it right with you. Mya, you have been the one that stuck with me after all the times I did you wrong. All I want is my baby back. Please, may I have another chance?" she stared at me hesitantly before jumping on me. She kissed on all of my face and I just laughed. Her mother came up and knock on the door before entering. She observed how we were and smiled. "I told you mama knows best." then she walked back out. I looked and Mya and hugged her. "Pack your bags, you moving to California with me to start a new life. Let your mom and sister have the house, I'll pay it off." she hopped off me and began to pack. "I was expecting you to be like 'But I'm not ready yet'" she chuckled and finished. "We leave on Friday. It's Tuesday now."
