I needed to know what that guy meant when he said he couldn’t wait for Madeline to be gone. Where was she going? Was she going to work somewhere else? Hopefully it was close to town if not in it, so I could still make sure she was OK. Things felt like they were falling into place now. My mom mentioned that I needed to get her up to speed and quickly to make sure the integration into the pack was seamless.
