*The Reveal*

Gu Xue Lan started hearing gasps and her smile became wilder.

Leng Ruyan had just been praying for her daughter when she heard the voice. Both she and her son looked to the entrance of the manor.

Gu Nanyin wore an ice blue qipao with a row of round smooth pearls at the collar, there were also crystal clear blue sapphires on her collar but it was not as beautiful as the young girl's cold and serene appearance. The qipao was embroidered with beautiful peonies, and when the lights hit it, the silver thread sparkled beautifully.

Her jade-like arms were wrapped in a snow-white fur, and a pair of white lace gloves perfectly enveloped her slender fingers. A gorgeous ruby ring adorned her index finger on her right hand.

However, all of this luxurious clothing paled in comparison to this beautiful girl.

Her long extremely blonde hair cascaded down past her waist and two ruby teardrop earrings hung from her white earlobes complimenting the bright red teardrop mole at the corner of her eye. Her eyebrows were kind of ashy in color and her ice blue eyes were as bright as the morning star. Her lips, as red as rose petals, curved slightly revealing a hint of a mysterious smile.

Everyone who saw Gu Nanyin was dumbfounded. They had never seen anyone as beautiful as her especially her hair, it was so blonde, it was almost turning white, then, her eye color, icy blue. It was extremely rare and they almost couldn't close their mouths.

Gu Xue Lan was the most shocked!

"How could this be?" She half yelled.

Gu Nanyin's ears almost exploded from Gu Xue Lan's outburst. She looked around and was not surprised by the amount of people she saw in the banquet hall. The banquet hall was almost filled to the brim even though it wasn't time for the banquet to start. It was obvious that some people were bent on ruining her.

Gu Nanyin continued searching the banquet hall with her eyes until her gaze fell upon Leng Ruyan and Gu Yanjue.

Gu Nanyin walked towards them with a slight smile on her face. As she got closer to them, she felt Gu Xue Lan's malicious gaze and heard the sound of her fists clenching and her teeth gritting.

Noticing this, Gu Nanyin stopped and gave her a cold smile that was not really a smile before continuing her walk.

Gu Nanyin got to where they both sat down and nervously asked while blinking her eyes cutely, "Are you Madam Gu?"

Hearing her voice, Leng Ruyan came out of her trance like state and asked with shock, "Are you my child, Gu Nanyin?"

"Mom." Gu Nanyin's voice quivered lightly as she said this.

Leng Ruyan heard the young girl call her mom and her heart was filled with her motherly love and she tightly hugged the girl while crying, "My child, you have suffered."

Gu Yanjue at the side immediately ushered the both of them into the main building, "Mom, sister, take a seat while I get a glass of water for you both."

Leng Ruyan looked at the exquisite face of the young girl who looked six points like her and hugged her again, "Ayin, mom is truly sorry, mom has caused you to suffer, mom will try to make it up to you."

Turning to Gu Yanjue who had just come with two glasses of water, she said, "Yan, where is your father?"

"I'm here, my love." A deep masculine voice replied.

They all turned to see Gu Qian, the patriarch of the Gu family walking in with a smile on his face.

"Is this our daughter?" He asked lightly while looking at the young girl who looked six points like his wife and four points like him with misty eyes.

Leng Ruyan nodded and nudged Gu Nanyin who was almost crying from seeing her family again. "Dad." She greeted.

Gu Qian was shocked when he saw the young girl's appearance, she looked unreal. He smiled at her and hugged her tightly. This was his daughter!

"Mom, Dad, can you please let me introduce myself to her?" Gu Yanjue asked with a complaining tone.

Hearing his voice, Leng Ruyan and Gu Qian finally remembered they had a son and slightly moved aside.

Seeing this, Gu Yanjue smiled and walked elegantly into their midst before saying in a thick British accent, "My name is Gu Yanjue, the first and only son of the Gu family."

His words made Gu Nanyin laugh through her tears, he is really her brother, still narcissistic.

"And my name is Gu Nanyin, the first and only daughter of the Gu family." Gu Nanyin replied with the same accent making their parents laugh. Both their children were really something else.

When Gu Yanjue heard her accent he was really surprised.

Seeing his surprised expression, Gu Nanyin laughed even harder while wiping her eyes. "You still haven't changed, you narcissist."

"What! Who told you that?" Gu Yanjue asked dramatically.

"Yan'ge I only went missing for some years not all my life remember?" Gu Nanyin asked Gu Yanjue even more dramatically.

Gu Yanjue scratched his nape in embarrassment before clearing his throat, "Did Gu Xue Lan send you this dress?" He paused and studied her face carefully before continuing, "You aren't putting on any makeup, are you?"

"To all the questions the answer is no, let's talk about that when we are alone. As you can see, we have company." Gu Nanyin said before turning to Leng Ruyan, "Mom, where is my room, I'm very tired."

"I thought you said you didn't go missing your whole life, so why can't you know where your room is?" Gu Yanjue said sarcastically.

"Should I surprise you?"

"Try if you can!" Gu Yanjue said with a sneer.

"Okay then, my room is the room at the farthest end of the hallway on the first floor, it is the biggest and most luxurious room in this manor." Gu Nanyin said confidently.

The entire Gu family were all shocked. It was at this time, that Gu Xue Lan walked in with a fake smile on her face. Immediately she got close to Gu Nanyin, she hugged her tightly while shedding fake tears, "Sister, I have missed you and you look so beautiful."

"You too, Sister Gu Xue Lan, I'm sorry for not dressing according to your instructions, but Aunt Qin, dressed me up herself." Gu Nanyin said with an innocent smile.

Immediately she said this, the smile on the faces of the Gu vouple froze, Aunt Qin was Gu Nanyin's foster mother to everyone but in reality she was her assistant. Mr and Mrs Gu had met her a few times and knew that for her to reject the clothes and makeup Gu Xue Lan sent, it meant that the goods were faulty.

Leng Ruyan sighed in her heart at how much her precious daughter had suffered and then remembered the meal she prepared, she was planning on making her daughter recover all those lost years.

"A'yin, I prepared a surprise for you." Leng Ruyan said with a smile.

"Really?" Gu Nanyin said excitedly.

"Yes, follow me." Leng Ruyan grabbed Gu Nanyin's hand and started moving in the direction of the dinning room.

Gu Nanyin let herself to be pulled by her mom. In fact, she was eager to know what kind of surprise her mother had prepared for her. In her past life, she did not have the chance to find out what the surprise was, as Gu Xue Lan had told her that the entire Gu family were a den of wolves and that if they gave her, Gu Nanyin, anything, she should immediately bring it to her, Gu Xue Lan.

So when she was told by Madam Gu that there was a surprise for her. She immediately cowered in fear and ran to hide behind Gu Xue Lan. This action deeply hurt the Gu family. They thought she was still scared and trusted Gu Xue Lan, so they allowed Gu Xue Lan take her to her room to rest.

The room Gu Xue Lan took her to was no different from a storage room. Gu Xue Lan had taken her to that room claiming that, that was were the Gu family had prepared for her to stay, the Gu family found out too late about this.

By the time they found out, she had already grown a deep seated hatred towards them.

So repeating this scene brought feelings of nostalgia which in turn brought tears to her eyes.

"We're here." Leng Ruyan said happily. Gu Nanyin was lost in the memories of her past life and did not respond.

Receiving no response, Leng Ruyan turned to look at Gu Nanyin. Noticing the tears in her eyes, she immediately panicked.

"A'yin, what's the matter? Why are you crying?" She queried worriedly while touching Gu Nanyin's forehead to feel her temperature. This touch was what brought Gu Nanyin back to reality.

"Mom, I'm fine, no need to worry, it's just, no one has ever prepared a gift for me before." Gu Nanyin smiled before saying.

"It's okay to not be okay, my dear, come, sit, you must be hungry." Leng Ruyan said while pulling out the chair meant for the patriarch out for her. Gu Yanjue and Gu Qian just pulled out different chairs to sit while Gu Xue Lan was almost biting off her tongue.

Gu Qian was impatient and asked, "So, is the dinning table the surprise?"

Leng Ruyan immediately hit him on his head while motioning for him to shut up.
