Chapter 6: Escape
SEBASTIAN was baffled. Not to boast but every creature in Chronus always kept on stealing a glance on his face whenever he passes by anywhere that is why, what was the right of that girl who is not even ‘that’ beautiful to just continue on walking without paying attention to his handsome face?! The action of that girl was unacceptable to his mountainous pride.
Sebastian sighed in annoyance when he arrived at the destination.
How dare that girl ignore him?! Him, who is the most handsome man in the whole Bellis?!
"But you are in Plumeria, Your Highness," his guardian said to him in his mind.
“Hah?” he stopped walking upon hearing the little voice in his head.
Sebastian’s guardian is a cetus that he got during his tenth birthday. A cetus is a type of an ocean monster that has an appearance of a dragon, a tail like the mermaids and a body like a whale.
“You can’t expect everyone to treat you the same. The world is too vast. Not everyone will care about you.”
His forehead creased as he let out a sigh. His guardian, Blue, was right. Only then did he realize the pointlessness of his annoyance.
Too bad for him though, because of his nonsense actions and thoughts, he did not even manage to notice clearly the appearance of the woman he immediately hated. He did not see the beauty that the girl possessed.
ON THE other side, Casper Kingsley of Plumeria irritatedly dragged his feet out of their castle because of one thing, his parents wanted him to be on a fixed marriage to someone he does not even know!
He has his own mind and plans in life. He is not yet insane to submit to that plan of his parents.
He will get married, for what? For the further enrichment of their empire? Ha! Such irony coming from his parents who got married because of love.
In great annoyance, Casper summoned his guardian, Blaze, a phoenix.
Blaze is a bird with a fiery yellow feather that could change size any moment but his original figure is as big as an old stallion. Knowing his master was upset when he called for him, he immediately showed up in his original size.
Without a word, Casper rode on the back of Blaze to cool his head as his guardian happily flew on the air.
From above, Casper could observe the beauty of their place—the place that his parents still wanted to nurture and strengthen. From there, the people looked as if they were just some ants in his eyes that he could crush if he wanted to but that is not it.
From the small houses to the most luxurious houses; the younger ones and the elders—the young man did not miss any small details.
Are they worth of his happiness? Are they worth the sacrifice of marrying some princess from another country instead of picking a decent girl that he could have loved and marry?
When he got tired of looking around, he decided to rest at a dessert shop near a famous coffee shop in Plumeria.
As soon as his phoenix landed on the ground, he was immediately recognized by the people, so the waiters treated him warmly with a large smile on their faces.
Casper took a continuous spoonful of vanilla ice cream while sitting at the chair outside the restaurant when he slowed down as he noticed a very beautiful girl who looked like an angel that fell from the sky.
The guy, who never stopped moving his hand, choke on the ice cream that he took in his mouth as his focus immediately transferred to the girl who quickly captured his heart. He coughed a few times while patting his chest to ease the pain in his throat but his eyes are still darted on the woman.
Tears already formed at the corners of his eyes when suddenly, white flower petals and gold dust started raining from the sky on the woman’s location. Is he being delusional? Maybe he is. Who would waste such flowers and gold anyway? Aside from that, he could even hear his heart shouting like an excited little kid, saying, “Marry her! Marry her! I want her, you punk!”
Casper rubbed his eyes gently. Then, he opened his eyes and adjusted his eyesight at the sudden brightness that is in front of him.
He gasped in shock as his rounded in astonishment. The woman is glowing!
But what is this? The hands of the clock seemed to stop moving for a few seconds and the world’s rotation also seemed to be halted. The young man could not move from his place as if his feet were glued on the ground. Then, his eyes met with the pair of red eyes that the woman possessed. That time, it was as if they were the people in the area.
The woman has such a beautiful pair of eyes that Casper could compare them to a ruby.
Casper was deafened. The only sound he could hear was the loud and abnormal beat his heart has.
Moments later, the maiden let out an unexpectedly deadly and melting smile, causing Casper to hear what seemed like a wedding bell in his brain.
At that moment, he knew, he was already a victim of Cupid which was the god of love.
DAYS and weeks passed by too slow for Zeiden. Her journey towards the Mystique University was just too long, like everything was in a slow motion. Up until today, she still has not reach her destination and her patience is starting to wear thin.
While on her way to the university, various sounds simultaneously filled the air that eventually reached her ear. Sound of rusty wagons; chains hitting the ground; squeals of horses that are being harshly whipped; disgusting laughter of men who seemed to be lustful of flesh; and weep of women in different ages who seemed to be forcefully taken, the maiden could hear everything very clearly.
Zeiden frowned when she realized the situation. Because of her curiosity and her side who loved prying on things that were not her business, she teleported inside of a random wagon, which shocked the abducted females who saw her suddenly appear from thin air.
"How did you get in here, young lady? Did you not know how dangerous it is for you to enter?" the seemingly oldest woman in the carriage said to Zeiden with worry.
Most of the women had their hands and feet tied, their faces soaked with tears, their eyes full of fear while silently crying on the dirty floor of the wagon.
Because of Zeiden's sudden appearance out of nowhere, a few of those women’s faces lift up with a ray of hope inside their earlier dead eyes.
"Shut your wailings or we’ll kill you!" they heard one of the bandits shouted from outside.
Zeiden’s eyes widened as she immediately signaled silence to the women whose attention totally went up to her.
"I don't really know, grandma. I just want to exercise and beat up some bodies. Maybe we could also end their lives," she said innocently but some women near Zeiden couldn't understand why they suddenly felt terrified.
The old woman who started talking to Zeiden dropped her jaw in shock upon hearing her reply that she didn’t manage to say anything after asking. Then, the curious Zeiden asked other people inside the wagon instead as the old woman looked as if she would take a lot of time in recovering.
"Excuse me, can you start telling me the whole story? Promise, I'll help you free even those in the other four carriages,” Zeiden said.
From the dark corner, a beautiful woman showed up. The woman reached out to Zeiden and then, the storytelling began.
IN THE PAST, in the Kingdom of Wisteria, there was a gossip about bandits abducting women who were seen alone in the whole Land of Chronus. No one has been able to prove that the gossip was real before because these group of bandits were said to be moving from one place to another to collect more women regardless of their ages.
They could not figure it out even if it was true because the group was like a camouflaging snake in the wild whenever they were moving.
Turned out, the reason why they couldn’t be found easily was because they had an unsuspicious object they were using in their crime—and that object was their normal looking rusty wagons.
Until one day, while his older brother was again disobeying their parents, she secretly descended and left their kingdom to take a stroll. Of course, her brother was Jackson, he can't be the only naughty in their family. Where is the justice in there? However, unlike her brother who is openly a troublemaker, Paris’s troublemaking side is hidden well to make sure that she wouldn’t end up like her brother who always get punish at every thoughtless thing he does.
Inside an entertainment house, there she chose to hang out. She loves to dance so every time she stays there, she performs on their stage while wearing a mask that only shows her lips. Very unroyal like, right? Is there even a princess who would dance like a p********e in an entertainment house just because she was bored and she wanted it? Only Paris.
But things made a worse turn from what she expected.
The bandits who are holding them now broke into the entertainment house and unfortunately, she was not able to fight back because she immediately lost her strength when they sprayed something in front of her face that also made her lose consciousness.
"Oh? That was your brother?" Zeiden said while nodding her head.
Out of all the women Paris met, she was the most unique. Her face was very beautiful and gentle, but there was something inside her that could make a person tremble. She was not one of the nobles, but her presence was really strong—there’s something with her that would make you feel like a bee towards a flower.
She was nice to talk to so everything happened so fast that even though they were all surprised at her arrival and identity, they all became comfortable with her.
They all introduced themselves when Paris finished telling the story inside the carriage while she was just eating from food from storage bag that she shared to everyone.
"How did you meet my older brother and how did you know I was his sister?" Paris curiously asked.
"Because of your hair and eyes and even your attitude based on your story. She was about to die when I saw him. But maybe that guy is alright now. Don't worry, dear princess," she said with a smile that made Paris's blood boil.
She just really gets annoyed every time she's being treated and called like a delicate princess—even though she's really a princess.
"Anyway, guys, this is the plan for us once the bandits rest later..." Zeiden started.
