Chapter 79

Ester POV.

I am at the Knight Headquarters because I was called by the Brother Complex, Dahlia.

Hours has passed since I’ve been waiting here. How long will she let me wait?

“West!” I heard a shout behind me. Thank Goodness. She is here.

“Sorry to keep you waiting.” She apologizes. Knights are behind her that are wearing their uniform and in posture.

“It’s alright.” I lied. Of course, it is not alright for me that she keeps me on waiting especially mosquitoes has been taking a bite of me. I want to say that to her but how could I? When Knights are behind her, she is the princess and a Knight Commander, so how could a commoner and lowly being, even though I am not but how would they know?, would disrespect their Commander.

She gestured for me to follow her, we enter the quarters and to her office but before that, I could the gazes and stares of Knights. They didn’t stare at me before so, why now?

“You must be confuse why I called you here?” she started.

She sat down at her chair and she pointed at the chair in front of her, giving me a clue to sit down. And then, I followed.

“What will be the reason for calling me here?” I questioned, is this about her brother and its girlfriend? Is she still objective of their relationship?

My guesses stopped when I heard the reason, she said, “This is regarding of the attack.”

There are two attacks that happened; the Black Market and in the In’n but I think she is referring to the attack in the In’n since she was there when it happened.

“The Kingdom of Aurelius will visit here and investigate the attack happen in the In’n.” seriousness is imprint in Dahlia’s face.

I was right, she was talking about the In’n.

I can feel this is something serious since Dahlia have been not joking.

I waited for Dahlia to continue, “You were a member of the In’n and have knowledge of what is going on also how important the In'n is, for it is the reason why Ao Kingdom is at peace but there are more than that…”

I remembered that Nico or someone else told me about the In’n being the result of Luna and the Demon’s deal. What else could they been hiding that Dahlia’s about to tell me.

“I am going to tell you a secret that would’ve get you killed if you tell someone about it.” It gives me shivers of how she states at me and assessing me if I really could keep a secret.

I have a side of me that want to back out and walk out from here but since, it’s too late to do that… I wished that I didn’t come at all.

But wait! Could I be killed in this world? I haven’t experimenting this logic of mine.

“I promise not to tell a soul.” It is really worth it knowing what she has about to say?

“Wait here.”

She headed to her cabinet and looks like she is looking for something. Pushing the bottle and putting it aside away from her then when the bottles are in their place; revealing the tap…unexpectedly she taps the back and words appeared out of nowhere.

It looks familiar…where did I seen those words?

Wait! I remember now.

I saw it in the storage room of the Winch’s Castle. It was the one I saw in the box where the ring was inside of it.

It must have connection with the ring that I found in the storage room.

“Where those words come from?” I asked Dahlia

Her face questioned.

“What words?” she asked back.

Can’t she see those words?

“Nevermind.” I took back what I said.

Can’t she really see it or I am just getting crazy?

Oh well, Ester was being known as crazy in her time and it got transferred to me.
