I have arrived and I can hear them from the other side of the door, cheering and shouting. Did they start without me?
I opened the door and acted that I don’t know anything. I entered…and I saw demons but no flower.
Did I enter the wrong room? I should get out of here before they eat me.
“Hey, where are you going?” a demon called for me.
They are looking at me, as he walks towards me every step he takes makes the ground shake.
“I’m getting out of here.” I answered.
“Why? Aren’t you here because you want to have fun?” he breathes out in my face which makes me smell his breathe.
“Hanabi, we are not allowed to talk to her if Madam Luna is not here.” Another demon confronts the guy who’s been bothering me.
“She’s the one who comes here which she shouldn’t be. The first one to break the rule is here so it’s alright for us to do so.”
Rule? I didn’t break any rule since I was called here.
I was about to leave when the Bad Breathe Demon grips my hand and started to lift me in the air.
“Bwahaha, you are not going anywhere.” He walks and I was swinging side by side.
“Let me go.” I can escape but chose not to since I decided to make peace without violence.
“Hanabi! We were not supposed to touch them!” the good demon insisted to let me go, “She is new, she might not yet know about the rules.”
“You are no fun,” He punches the good demon in the face and it flies to the wall. The impact made a crack in the wall. “Luna is not here, we can do what we want.”
The good guy demon fainted.
“Why did you do that?!” he punch his co-demon!
“Here, we have rules and if someone breaks them they will be punished.”
I didn’t know anything about the rule, they didn’t tell me about it.
“What’s going on?” Rufus appeared between us, he slapped the hand of Bad Breath Demon to let me go.
I dropped to the ground when he looses his grip on me.
“Rufus, you’re here!” the bad breath demon happily welcomes the guy, Rufus.
He blocked himself from being hugged by the Bad Breath demon.
“What is she doing here?” he pointed at me.
“She just appeared out of nowhere.”
They surrounded me.
“What do you want…?” I’m kind of nervous, they are too many of them and I was being surrounded by massive demons, they are 6-7 feet tall.
“Aren’t you told not to come here if it's midnight?” Rufus asked me.
“I was told to come here.” I answered truthfully.
“That’s impossible, before you become a flower you were taught to know the discipline and rules.”
Does he think I’m lying? I was telling the truth, I was told nothing about the In’n or what the flower’s work when I first come here.
“I’m not lying.”
“I’m not saying you are a liar, I just don’t want to believe you.”
“That’s just the same thing.”
“Then how about this,” what is it now? “I’ll believe you if you win the fight between you and Hanabi.”
A fight? Just like with Avalon and the demon?
Fighting a demon…?
I wouldn’t get out of here if I don’t accept it.
“You don’t have to worry, killing is prohibited here. You just need to pass out your enemy.”
If all I need is to make him passed out then…”I accept.”
He smiled and the demons cheered.
Hanabi laughed hardly. “Just surrender, you know, you can’t win! HAHAHAHA!”
They lead me to the ring and throw me in then Hanabi entered.
They locked up the ring like I’m in a cage.
There are no chances of getting out of here since the ring is secured by wires intertwined with each other.
The demons cheered as Hanabi boasted himself to the demons.
I stand there and watch him.
He made a battle cry at me. I can smell his smelly breath.
“When the bell rings that the start of the match.”
“Whoo!”
“TEAR HER!”
“ABUSE HER!”
That’s very harsh to tell a person. Well, what do I expect with the demons?
They act differently when Miss Luna is around.
We waited for the bell to ring.
“Ready!” The announcer shouted. “Go!”
The bell rings as he shouted.
Hanabi tackled me but I stand there and didn’t move. He is coming near me…just a few inches he’ll throw to the other side but I don’t want that so I wasted no time and kick his head that made his face hit the ground and dented it.
His face cracked up, his teeth came off and he is vomiting blood.
Everyone was silent.
They can’t believe that I just defeated Hanabi.
“Count.” I order the announcer. He was surprised and was waken up when I told him
“1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10! The winner is the Flower!”
They didn’t cheer at me instead they stared at Hanabi who is on the ground but he is still alive though, I just make him pass out.
I exit the ring.
I heard someone clap and it was Rufus.
“Now, I know why Luna has taken a liking of you because you were special.”
Why would she take a liking of me? When we rarely see each other and I haven’t actually talked to her that much.
What is he saying about me being special?
“You are strong, but we cannot let you fight in the ring again because you just defeated our strongest fighter.”
Hanabi is the strongest fighter! That’s means I am now the strongest here? Did I just earn a title without expecting it?
I laughed in my thoughts.
I will stay as a waitress, then?
“As I was saying, since you won the fight then I believe you but it doesn’t mean that you wouldn’t lose your job as a flower. Even you are told or not, it was strictly implemented that whoever comes here in no time of work will be eliminated.”
But it’s not my fault! Should I take responsibility for it?
“There’s no need for that.” To my surprise, Miss Luna is here along with Niko who was waving at me.
