That morning.
Rem POV.
We are here at the playground but we have no intention to play instead to train children how to use magic.
Rom are teaching them the basic of magic. Luckily, they are quick to learn. This is essential if someone attack us from the outside they can defend themselves.
“Look at this, Rom! I can make the seed grow a sprout!” a girl fairy opened her small a palm and a seed was lying on her palm.”Pullupant.” she casted.
Then, a small sprout slowly coming out of the seed.
She smiled widely at her success.
Rom pat her head and compliment her.
“Very Good.”
She blushed and ran shyly at her friend then let them see what she accomplish.
I wish I could teach them too but they can’t hear me and the only one that can hear me is busy.
“Chug! Chug! Chug!” We heard far away from here the cheers of the grown up. Their voice is too loud it will create disturbance to the children’s training. Rom should shut them up.
“Rom, do something. They are disturbing the children’s training.” The grown up are too childish, they should act mature.
“Nah, I’m too introvert to talk to them.” I can’t believe him! If he don’t want to talk to them then I will!
“Rom, I’m going to take control of your body.” I declared.
“What? No way!”
I’ve taken control not just because I wanted to shut the grown up’s loud mouth, I also wanted to interact with the people here. I’ve been in that dark room for too long, it is time for me to go out.
“Stop, Rem! You can’t –“
I am now using Rom’s body and he’s now inside of me.
I slowly opened my eyes.
Suddenly, I felt my world is circling me. I tremble as I watch everything surrounded me.
“Rem, you can’t go out yet. You’re trembling! Let’s switch back.” I heard Rom said inside of me.
“No…” I hugged my body trying to protect myself that’s going to hurt me which doesn’t exist. “I can to this…I’m not afraid. He’s gone.”
“Rem…” I can feel his sadness. “Fine. Go and do what you want.” He finally agreed.
“Thanks bro. You’re the best supportive brother even though you didn’t support me at first.” I teased.
“Just go.”
I calmed myself and relaxed my vision. I gathered my strength to head towards the grown up.
They circled the table and who ever at the table is, they are cheering for him. I can’t see who it is since they are blocking the way.
My trembling hand tap on te shoulder of a Goblin.
“Huh! Who are you?” he shouted at me like he was coming at me with a fight.
I got scared and remembered my past where that man shouted at me every time I bothered him.
I shake my head trying to erase my thoughts about the past.
Which was also mistaken by the Goblin that I was shaken my head because it was nothing.
I was about to tap him again when I saw Ester sitting at the table. So, they are cheering for her.
I squeezed myself through the crowd Trying to reache Ester.
They were having an Contest like how much Ester would’ve eat.
“Witch!” I called her.
She stops eating and raise her brow.
“Who are you?” she asked. “How dare you disturb me while eating?” her voice is angry.
Doesn’t she remember me? She saw my face once.
“It’s me, Rem.”
I expected her to smile and hug me that she remembers who I am but she shrugged and said, “R-Right, Rem. What are you doing here?”
I was dumbfounded. Why do I feel awkward around her?
“T-The kids are having their training. Can you lower down your voice?” I told her.
Usually, she apologizes but she said aloud, “Boys! The kids, are having their training so shut up your mouth?! Hahahaha.” She made fun out of it.
The others laugh with her.
“It’s okay now. You can go.”
Is that all she’s going to say? Aren’t she surprised why I am the one controlling Rom’s body?
I left and shaken up. I thought she cared about me but I felt like a luggage that she can just throw out.
I hide inside the playhouse, hoping that she would’ve look for me.
“What are you doing here, Rem?” a cute voice talked to me. It was the girl fairy, the one with the seed sprout.
“You know me?” I didn’t introduce myself to her so how?
“Of course! Everyone knows that Rom has a twin sister, you may have different hair and eyes but you look exactly like Rom.”
Her cheeks puff as she was talking, it turns reddish and it was cute.
I can’t help myself but giggled.
She pouted when she noticed I giggled.
“What is your name?” I asked.
“Cowcow!”
What a weird name.
“Why are you look sad?” She tilted her head, put her hand behind then swinging her bottoms and flapping her swings which make her look like a curious child.
I don’t want her to get disappointed so I told her this, “Because I ate a cow for breakfast and I felt sorry to eat your relatives.”
“A cow? They are not my relatives!” She stomped her small feet on the ground.
“I’m just joking.”
“Don’t joke like that!” she scolded me. “Anyway, here!”
She grabbed my hand and put something in my palm.
“I will give this to you.” She gave me the seed with a sprout.
“Why are you giving me this?” This is something precious to her.
“I want you to see yourself as a sprout.” She said. What is she up to?
“The sprout stands despite its small stem, they are covered with a hard shell but after that they are born into something new. So, all I can say for you is be like a sprout. Stand and chin up every time you walk and be reborn again into something where you are proud of, forget all the past and live like a sprout.”
