Chapter 34

“You're weak.”

“What?” Of course I am, who will get stronger for just two months?!

“Long ago, you defeated me in one strike. But now, you're having a hard time looking for an opening.” I don't care how monster is Ester in a fight but what he's saying is true, I'm having hard time on fighting him.

This is the first time, I’m fighting someone seriously.

“Is this because you slept for so long that you grow rusty?”

Nope, I'm not just that strong. I wanted to say that to him.

“I think so. What do you say? Be a good boy and let me kill you ya?”

“Hahaha! You may be weak but you're still as funny as ever. But, no!” He started attacking me again.

This time, I played offense and defense.

We were like that for a while.

“It’s getting kind of boring and I'm hungry.” He whined.

“Then, let me kill you and you won't be hungry again.”

“Nah, I preferred to get hungry than to be killed in your hands.”

He starts to look everywhere and sniff.

“Who sent you to kill me?” I asked.

“Did you forget? The Demon Lord.” Ugh…Ester, what did you do to get targeted like this?

“Right, I remember. The Demon Lord.” I pretended that I know the Demon Lord.

“Boy! You should've seen his face when you defeated him in Demon War.” Uhh…I don't what he's talking about. The Demon War isn't found in Shoes's Book.

“He's very angry when you stole some of his power.” Ester should have killed him than stole his power.

I heard a crunching sound coming from the blue creature.

“What are you doing?”

“Hmm, I'm eating. I found this body lying on the ground. Do you want some?” He said while matching the remains of the old man.

I feel like my mind split as I watch him eating the old man. All of a sudden, my mind goes blank and my body is hot.

Third Person POV.

Jankik, felt the immense rage surrounding Ester. He thought for a sec, ‘I’m shit.’ but excitement flows also into him.

He can finally have a serious fight for a long time. Ester is the only can let him feel that way. If he did something to make Ester triggered, he is grateful that he did.

He prepared himself and let the energy flows in his body. He buffed himself for the incoming fight.

Ester was losing her mind. She was showered with the power which she cannot control.

She was immersed with rage and hatred for what Jankik did to Rom, Rem, and the old man, he was the reason that they are dead. And, she decided he will kill this man right now.

She attacked first by making the ground quakes where Jankik stands, she throws a boulder in Jankik’s direction and every boulder was empowered so every hit will receive great damage.

Jankik avoided this but some boulder hit him anyways.

He's in great pain in every hit he takes.

While recovering from the pain, Ester didn't stop attacking him.

Jankik looks for an opening and he transport above Ester which Ester noticed and she made a ball of fire over her head and Jankik get caught by it.

The amount of damage, Ester produce is the same as the high being.

That's why Jankik has no chance to Ester. It's his fault for waking up a tiger.

Jankik was wounded and bloody on the ground. He can't move.

But, Ester was merciless. He keeps on sending fire at Jankik and every attack is like opening a wound.

Jankik is weak and if he gets attacked again. He will die.

Ester will finally shoot her last attack.

But, someone kick her from behind that made her out of balance and her attack missed which get shot out near her Mansion.

Ester was in raged and was about to attack the one who kick her but she snapped out when she saw who's standing in front of her.

“Rom?”

Ester POV.

“Rom?” I was surprised when I saw Rom standing in front of me.

I look around and everything was a mess. What just happened?

“I was right.” I heard someone talking behind me. I looked and the blue creature is bloody.

Eh??

What happened to him??

“The first time I saw that child, I know there's something fishy going on.” The blue creature said and pointed at Rom.

“You possessed that child's body. Who are you?” What is he talking about?

“Rom, what is he saying? Why are you alive? Where's Rem?” I asked, but I got ignored.

What's wrong with him? Why do I feel he's different?

His eyes are cold and his face is expressionless.

“I'm Azazel.” He introduced himself. “My summoner asked me to stop you.”

Summoner? Is he talking about the Father? Don't tell me he is alive! What did he do to Rom?

“No, you are not Azazel. Your name is Rom and you have a sister named Rem which is inside you.” I tried to snap him out of it.

He looked at me and shivers ran through my body.

He has a dark aura. He is not Rom.

I let go of him.

“Azazel? Hahahaha!” The blue creature laughed. “Azazel, the Fallen and the Traitor. The reason you disappeared in your prison is because you were here all along.”

Why is he possessing Rom and Rem's body?

“Get out their body now.” How dare he disrespect Rem and Rom?

“Oops, I'm out of here.”

I let my guard down.

The blue creature snapped his finger and disappeared.

He got away but how? This place has barriers, no one can get in and out.

“He can get out since he was summoned using pentacle, he can just undo the summoning.” Azazel explained.

“Thank you for the input. Now, get out of that body.” I need to bury Rem and Rom’s body properly and without a devil possessing them.

“I’m not allowed to get out of this body until my summoner won’t tell me to.”

“Where is your summoner?” If I see him, I will surely kill him.

“He’s dead.”

That’s his karma, serve him right.

What should I do with this man possessing Rem and Rom’s body? How can I get him out of there?

‘I recommend you seal him in that body.’

Seal him? Isn’t that a bad idea? What if he unsealed the seal he could use Rem and Rom’s body again?

‘You can use a seal where that person he/she can only open it.’

Hmm, fair enough. I have an idea who that person will be.

I just noticed. What the hell?

Why am I talking to myself?

‘You are not talking to yourself.’

There! That’s what I mean.

It sighed, ‘You’re not crazy. I am the magic system.’

Magic System? Shouldn’t it appear when I first arrived in this world?

‘Simple. Activate the sealing magic and enforce it to your target.’

Okay, then I’m going to do it.

‘Focus your mind.’

I did what the magic system instructed, I focus my mind and active the sealing magic.

‘Well, done. Let me take the job here.’

Can the magic system do that?

‘Execute.’

The wind blows at me and where Azazel stand, it glows.

“What are you doing?” he asked.

“I’m going to seal you inside of that body.” I answered.

His eyes widen and got angry, “Stop!”

‘What will be the key for the seal?’

The key…I will give him the key that is not needed.

The key will be the authorization of either Rem or Rom.

‘Are you sure?’

It will be done.

A chained entwine the body of Rom.

“Let me go!” Azazel struggles to get off the chained in the body that he is possessing.

He paused and fell asleep. The chained also disappeared leaving only a lifeless body of Rom and Rem.

I catch the body before it fall to the ground.

‘The seal is done.’

“Thank you.”

I held their body tightly. I failed to avenge their death.

I’m useless.

“Witch…are you crying?”

I think, I’m going crazy. I can even heard their voices in my mind.

“Witch! Stop being a drama queen!” Ugh… I can hear Rem’s insulting words. I missed them so much.

“Can’t breath, Witch.”

‘Mayday! You’ll be given a title, the Child Murdered if you continue.’

Why would I have that title? I haven’t killed a child yet.

I felt a faint tapping in my arm.

“W–Witch…C-can’t breath.” The lifeless body of Rom and Rem is moving and talking.

“Ah!” I shouted. What the?

“What’s happening?” I’m confused! Does the sealing magic didn’t work?!

“You were just about to kill us!” I recognize Rem’s voice.

What’s happening?

‘It seems that, the possession healed their body and that is why they are still alive.’

Alive? They are alive!

“Rem! Rom!” I hugged them tightly.

“EWW! Disgusting s**t, stop hugging us!” Rem does really have a faulty mouth.

“Please let me go.” Rom, still as calm as ever.

“I thought, you’re dead.” I cried. I have cried many times just for today.

“Come on! What matters right now is that we are alive so stop being cringey.” Her voice crack as she was saying that.

Rom just silently listened to us.

“Why didn’t you tell me? That day…did really happen.” Rom looked away at me.

“We’re embarrassed.” Rom said while still looking away.

“Do you think we’re disgusting?” Rem.

This is what I’m afraid of. If you’re a victim of r**e and abuse, you’re afraid to tell it to someone you know because you are afraid to get judge and disgusted. They create traumas that are hard to overcome because no one is there for them. This is the case of Rem and Rom, they got abused by their father and when they made a mistake something bad will happen to them. They’ve been afraid all their life. How long did they suffer in the hands of their father?

I turned Rom’s head and made eye contact, I gaze into his eyes and made them assured that everything will be all right from now on.

I hugged them again.

“I’m not disgusted, I will not be hugging and patting your head if I’m disgusted, right?

I felt their body tremble then I heard a sniff.

“Yes…”

‘’Let’s forget all the bad memories.”

“Yes…”

“You're save with me.”

“Yes…”

“No one gonna touch the two of you again.”

“Promise…then why are you touching us?” I laughed at their joke.

“Are we dirty?” they asked.

“No…”

“Liar.”

I giggled.

“Do you like us?”

“No…I love the two of you.”

“Ew.”

They fell asleep in my arms.

I wiped the tears falling off their cheeks.

It’s already night so I carried them to their new home where they will comfortably.

When I am in the town, everyone was fussing and their face is worried.

They saw me and ran in my direction.

“Ester, I’m glad you’re all right.” The fairy.

“Did the enemy attack us? We almost get caught in your attack.” Moon.

“I checked the gate but it’s still closed.” The lady.

“We want to go after you but Calcifer stopped us.”

Their faces is too close to mine.

I step back, “I’ll explain later. Let me first get a room for Rem and Rom to sleep.”

They noticed that I was carrying the twin, they offered that they will be the one to place then in their room. But, I refused since I don’t want to wake them up from my movements when handing them.

When I get to the Room, I placed Rem and Rom in the bed and tucked the blanket over them.

I left the room silently and I found Calcifer outside.

“How’s your fight?” he asked but I ignored it and change the topic.

“Did you know since the beginning?” I just realized the reason why he keeps on following with us yesterday because he already knows and he wanted to hear Rem and Rom confession but he wasn’t there when Rem and Rom told me that I was just hallucinating that’s why he expected that Rem and Rom were going to tell me. And, when he disagree when I said I wanted the relative of Rem and Rom to stay with us.

“What?” he pretended to be dumb.

“You know, what I’m talking about.”

He paused and sighed.

“Yes, I know.”

I want to smack him and ask why he didn’t tell me.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” I asked.

“I have no right to say it.” Here he goes again, making excuses. Just say, that you don’t want to get in trouble.

I really wanted to smack him…

“Nevermind. Asking you this, is useless.”

"Ester!" The lady called me from behind.

"Follow me, aren't you going to explain what happened." The lady grabbed my hand and drag me to where I don' know.

We entered the room and I found everyone waiting there. They are talking to each other and entertaining theirselves.
