Breaking vows and hearts…

Ignacio’s pov The loud moans that greeted me as I walked into the apartment almost spun my mind into a trance. I was livid. The scent of the sinful atmosphere tightened my chest even more. I had been suspicious but not once did it occur to me that my suspicion would turn out to be true. I slowly walked into the hallway keeping my anxiety at bay with each step I took. My eyes fell first to the heels that seemed to have been removed in haste, and the lacy red panties beside it. Then it trailed to a pair of diamond earrings, which looked so familiar. My stomach twisted when I figured that was all the confirmation I needed. There was only one design of that earring in the world and I knew this because I got it for her myself, perfectly customized to her taste. The salacious moans grew louder and clearer, reminding me that I hadn't been dreaming. Reminding me, in fact, that the pictures my PI Tyler had sent me were not a setup. I fought the urge to walk away, knowing that it was too late to change my mind now. As I got to the room door, I found it ajar, the woman who had just shattered my whole heart was turned backward, pounding and whining up and down in the hands of another man, someone I knew so well. Slow uncontrollable moans and groans escaped their lips, the whole apartment was filled with the sounds they made, the movement of their bodies, and the creaking of the bed, it was all too much to comprehend. It seemed like I was losing sanity. I shut my eyes as I tried so hard to resist the pain I was feeling. She didn't just cheat on me, she had to do it with my f*****g best friend! I couldn't hold the pain anymore, my anger rose when they were so engrossed in their moment of sin that they barely noticed my presence or even heard my footsteps as I walked into the room. It was only when his eyes finally met mine that he was startled in fear. She noticed his countenance change and turned to the direction of his gaze. Jolting from him and holding the blanket over her body, she joined him in faking what they thought I would view as remorse. A bitter laugh escaped my lips at their deceitful expression. I can’t stand this. I was almost about to turn back and leave, when I felt her hands on mine, holding me back with a pleading cry. “So this….” I paused pointing at the bed. “Was why you wanted a separation?” I barked, turning to glare at her now as I watched her lover from the corner of my eyes, rummaging through the pile of clothes for his. No response came, and my rage grew even more. “Answer me!” I rumbled again, watching her whimper in fear. That doesn't work for me anymore. “I…I’m so..sorry.” She cried out. “You’re sorry? That's all you can say?” I asked breathlessly. Good heavens! I didn't think this pain would be too tough to handle but it hurt as hell. “Where did I go wrong? What did I not give you!?” I asked again, searching for answers. Or more so, closure to melt this pain. She shook her head as she blubbered in dread, that's just medicine after death because why would that even help the pain she's just caused me? “Listen, man….” Her lover began to say, or should I say, my now ex-best friend. “Don’t you dare say a word,” I said, holding up a finger to shut him up as I turned back to the woman before me. The audacity of him to think he could make the atmosphere better with whatever he had to say. I scowled at the woman I've poured my whole heart into but she has ended up shattering it. ”I’m sorry Ignacio…..I’m so sorry…this was all a mistake, I don’t know what got into us. Please, you have to believe me, I’m willing to do anything to get your forgiveness.” She pleaded, kneeling before me as the tears streamed down her eyes. “Forgiveness you say?” Did she just hear herself? How do you demand separation from your husband, lie to him that you had a work event in a different city, date his best friend behind his back, and still ask him for forgiveness after committing adultery with his best friend!? The last words rolled from my thoughts causing my heart to sting at the thought of it. She's my f*****g wife. This time I turned to my so-called best friend. “My wife. Rodrigo…..You’ve been sleeping together all these while behind my back?” I asked angrily. “No, no man, no….”He said. Before he could say any more words I rushed to his side and threw a well-deserving punch across his face, making sure his nose got twisted. That wasn't satisfying at all but hand had been itching to do it the moment I saw their pictures together. “It happened just once Ignacio, I promise!” I heard her cry out. I almost went crazy from the lies she just blurted out. “What the hell?” “Yes man, she's telling the truth for real, it happened just today,” Rodrigo added, nodding like that's supposed to make me believe their disgusting lies, or make the situation better. It wasn't enough that they’d just been caught committing all of this, but they would dare look me in the eye and lie to me. I chuckled, the situation now becoming a bitter funny one. Without another word, I dipped my hand into my pocket to retrieve my phone, scrolling through tons of pictures to find the perfect one that showed their face clearly enough, as they spent some time on a beach here in Las Vegas, a moment that was shared in one of the many occasions she’d lied to me about where she was going. “One time you say?” I asked, shoving the phone in their faces so they could see the pictures well. Their eyes widened in shock as they stared at the screen. “I thought so too.” They were obviously not expecting it. Of course, they didn't think I would have had someone watching them for months. She reached out again trying to hold me as we had promised each other to do whenever either of us was upset. But it was too late, this was beyond anger. You broke my whole heart, damn it! I wanted to yell at her but I couldn't even bring myself to utter another word. The pain had clouded me and I stormed out of the room. With only one place in mind to go, Riccardo’s bar, and with only two emotions clouding me. Revenge and rage.
