I walked towards where Laia was standing, after Torsney walked to meet Travis. We were at the venue where the reception is supposed to be held, but I was no longer in my party vibes.
"Hey, what's wrong? You don't look….settled." Laia asked me, immediately I got to where she was.
"I don't know, I no longer have the joy to continue." I said to her in a low tune.
"Because of Alba?" She asked
"Yes Laia, yes, because of Alba." I said, massaging my forehead with my fingers.
"Girl, why should you give a f**k about that witch? She's just jealous you were able to wrap Torsney around your fingers and she couldn't. You don't need to worry about her. Don't let her spoil your big day." She said to me, rubbing my shoulders up and down. I don't know what I'll do without this girl. I felt something crash into my legs, and when I looked, it was Sam.
"Hey little guy. How are you doing?" I asked, bending down to his height. He pouted his lips, then slightly shook his head.
"I'm not fine." He said in his little voice.
"What's wrong? Are you hurt?" I asked, worry coating my words. I used my eyes to inspect his body for any injury, but I found none.
"I'm hungry! I want food!" He demanded. I chucked a bit at the expression on his face.
"Come on." I picked his hand into mine, and led him to where the food was. I gave him some snacks and cakes, which he collected happily, and zoomed off to God knows where. I went back to join Laia, but I caught her blushing at whatever she was doing on her phone. Quietly approaching her, I peeped into her phone.
"Who's he?" I whispered into her ears, after I had confirmed that she was talking to a guy. She jumped, startled at the sudden intrusion.
"Darcy, what the f**k!" She exclaimed.
"Why are you creeping up on me?" She asked, placing her hand on her chest. She was being dramatic.
"Who's he?" I asked again, ignoring her previous question.
"Well, we just met, nothing serious." She replied, a blush creeping up on her cheeks.
"Ohhh someone's in loveeeeeee" I said rubbing my shoulders against her own. She laughed, murmuring to herself that they just met. I looked towards Torsney, and he looked kind of worried. I wonder what the problem is.
Alba
I ran, trying to escape the guards Torsney sent after me. My flight was in 20 minutes, and I can't afford to lose it trying to escape the bodyguards that came after me.
After a few more seconds of running, I slipped into an alleyway, hiding behind a trash can. Thankfully, I was able to lose them, as I breathed a sigh in relief.
Just as I stood up and was about to go to my destination, I bumped into someone. I looked up and it was Chester.
"What are you doing here?" I asked him, my voice devoid of any emotions.
"I followed you." He said, sizing me up with his eyes.
"Well obviously genius." I said, rolling my eyes at his obvious answer.
"Why did you follow me?" Impatience dripped from my voice as I spoke, wanting to get to the airport as soon as possible.
"You broke out of jail." He said again. I was beginning to get angry and really impatient.
"Are you here to state the obvious?" I asked him.
"Why are you this obsessed with Torsney?" He asked me, staring intently into my eye.
"His d***s good." I replied bluntly with a blank face. He rolled his eyes at my reply, before shaking his head.
"I thought I was over you, but seeing you again riled me up." His voice was low and deep. If I was another girl, I would be head over heels for him, because he was really handsome, but I wanted Torsney.
"When would you actually come to terms with the fact that we…" I paused, pointing between the two of us. "...can never happen."
"And when would you actually come to terms with the fact that you can never get Torsney. Don't you get it? He is not in love with you. You dated once, and you f****d it up. You don't get a second chance." Each word he said, only got me angrier.
"Well, if I can't have him, I'll.make sure nobody else does." I said, challenging him back.
"Is he worth breaking out of jail for?" He asked again. What's with him and all these stupid questions? I asked within myself. I was running late for my flight, and I was beginning to get impatient.
"He's worth every bit of it." I said
"Now if you have nothing tangible to say, I'll like to be on my way." I made an attempt to move past him, but he caught me by the arm.
"What the hell is your problem chester? I don't f*****g want you!!" I yelled, trying to break free from his strong hold. He didn't say anything, as he pulled out his phone from his pockets. I stared at him, hoping it was not what I was thinking.
"What are you trying to do?" I asked him. He didn't reply me, as he clicked on his dail button.
"Please don't tell me it's what I'm thinking. You can't do that to me." I said frantically, as he dialled "911" on his phone. I tried frantically to pill my arm out of his grip, but I couldn't, his grip was too tight. I didn't want it to ce to this, but he's leaving me with no other option.
Reaching underneath my dress, I pulled out the knife I had hidden should a situation like this happen. I never thought I would be using it on him.
I sank the knife into his stomach, and his hold on me tighten. He had shock on face, as he looked down at his suit that was now stained with blood. Taking to my heels, I fled the scene.
