Hell hath no fury

I stared aghast at the person staring back at me in the mirror, the shell shocked look was the same but I could not for the life of me reconcile that image with myself. That looked nothing like me! Where were my tattoos! My tiny lip and nose rings, gone. My belly button was bare and clean, like it hadn't featured a ring for the past six years. My skin clean like I hadn't inked the hell out it since I turned eighteen and was old enough to make my own decisions. I wasn't crazy about tattoos but i do remember having nine different tattoos on different locations on my body, but now nothing... nada. Everything that made me... me, was gone. I looked like an exact replica of that pale b***h-only healthier and fitter. My toned abs and arms from years of training and competing obvious. I guess even Reign couldn't erase that, and I bet she tried. Regardless, if someone sees me now they would surely take me for the b***h! Only thinking she might have put on a bit of weight, and had started doing other exercises apart from pillates. She had erased me! If anyone had been present to witness this scene, they would have fled in terror, fearing for their lives. Raine's expression was nothing short of terrifying, her face was shadowed, teeth clenched as if she could bite through steel, her gaze lethal, radiating a venomous intensity that suggested she was ready to unleash her fury. "Reign! I'm. Going. To. f*****g. Kill. You!" I spat out through gritted teeth. After giving myself a full minute to calm down, my lips suddenly pulled up into a creepy grin as i once again assessed the damage. I pulled up the tank top i found myself in, my gaze zeroing in on my rib cage, just as I thought. There was no trace of the tattoo I once had there, even the scar I had tattooed over had mysteriously faded, looking almost non existent. I had to give it to the b***h, she did know how to set me off. I've always been the one doing the avoiding, always running. But she just had to piss me off. Since she wanted my help so desperately, I was going to give it to her. I just hoped she could live with the consequences that came with accepting my help. Like I said before, Reign didn't know me, she had never made an attempt to get to know me, she had always assumed such a superior standing whenever I was involved. Why would a cat care about mice, but she was sorely mistaken about one thing. I was neither mice nor cat. I was the freaking queen of the jungle and Reign was about to learn the hard way that a favor from me never came cheap. "It takes two to play a game." I might be smiling, but my gaze remained artic. She was nine years too late pulling this sort of s**t with me. I was going to make her pay for taking such liberties with me! *********** When I finally made it out of the bathroom, I strutted straight to the last location I remember dropping my phone, my legs now steady, my pace purposeful, I had somewhat regained some of my strength. I guess pure unadulterated fury had a way of getting rid of the shakes. I found my phone face down on the floor by the bed. The screen dark, as I tapped on the screen the previous call's duration displayed on the phone, 22 minutes, I guess Charles had given up and ended the call after being privy to my lack of response, but the guy was sure persistent. What had he been rambling on about for 22 minutes? Anyway that was not my goal, my finger slid on the screen, my eyes focusing immediately on today's date. Three days.... She had kept me drugged up for three days. At this point, I could no longer feel angry. I just felt nothing. She wasn't worth a modicum of emotion from me. Anger would be too wasteful an emotion to feel for someone like Reign. I have to thank her for putting things in perspective. Why run when I could do something even better. Get even. I took in a deep breath, my thumb sliding on the screen again, returning Charles call. He picked up immediately. "Oh thank God you're okay, for a second there I thought I heard you puking. Uh... Raine, not to be an alarmist-" just when I was about to feel touched, he quickly migrated to business talks. I rolled my eyes in annoyance, my headache returning with a vengeance, I massaged my aching head. I quickly interrupted the long tirade before it could even start. "Not to worry Charles, I got it covered, someone will call you soon to sort it out." I went straight to the point, I needed to keep the conversation short, my head was killing me. Too much stimulation for one day. "Oh cool, cool. That's why you are the boss!" his tone turned flattering, immediately doing a one-eighty. My lips couldn't help but twitch at his shameless tone, I was basically doing his job. "Take care of yourself Charles." I ended the call. Still standing, my eyes traveled the marble rug covered floor, trying to locate the phone I had thrown earlier in annoyance, I just hoped it wasn't broken. After spending a few fruitless minutes looking I found it on the bed just sitting pretty. "Tsk, even the b***h's phone is annoying." I cursed. I just needed to get this over and done with. My fingers nimbly slid on the screen, as I expected, no lock, I guess this was prepared specifically for me. A ghost of a smile flickered on my face. Leave it to Reign to pay attention to the little details, it was no surprise I had lost to her so badly. But not to worry, everything from this point onwards was going to be on my terms. One thing I have learned from my years in the ring was to win. And to win you first need to make your opponent believe they have the upper hand, letting the opponent relax their guard, the ability to seamlessly disguise as prey has always been the basic skill of the most dangerous creatures. Camouflage they call it. I call it survival. Eat or be eaten. I rather eat. I dialed the unknown number, the call went through, but no one picked. My smile faint smile turned mocking. She wanted to make me sweat. How childish. Let's humor her a bit shall we. I dialed a second time, same thing, the call went straight to voicemail. My brows rose but this time instead of redialing, I just tossed the phone aside. Let's see who was more anxious between us, me or her? I made my way towards the bedroom door, I needed to get something to eat. I was about to faint from hunger. After all I hadn't eating anything for three days. Iv fluids and nutrient solution didn't count as food. Just as I opened the door, I could faintly hear the phone ring, but i paid no attention. I needed food, Reign could wait. I pushed the door open, coming face to face with two guards. My lips couldn't help but twitch. She was really thorough, but my titles weren't for nothing, I could take them both if I needed to. "Madam, do you need anything?" The taller one spoke first. Madam? Had I not known they were sent by Reign to keep me contained I'd have been fooled. "Ravioli, steak and a good bottle of unopened wine, desert is to be brought in five minutes after the main course." I listed out everything I wanted expressionlessly, I was determined to make the best of my situation. "Noted, madam should please go back and rest." The same guard answered, inclining his head slightly in a faint but firm manner. The way he spoke should have annoyed me, but I didn't care, I just needed food. Today has been exhausting enough, so much emotional fluctuations in so little time. There was also the matter of finally having that discussion with Reign.
