Goodbye

1092 Words
As we approached the old academy building, I couldn't help but feel a sense of trepidation. But as I looked up at the imposing structure, there was a strange sensation in my chest as if something big in my life is going to change. Outside the academy snow was falling in thick flakes, obscuring our vision and making the path ahead difficult to navigate. But we pushed through. As soon as we entered the academy grounds the snowfall stopped. It didn’t stop, when I looked back, I saw that snow was still falling just not inside the academy grounds there seems to be words in the whole place that was keeping it snow free. There was snow inside but not that much, there was a sprinkle of snow on the tress and the domes of the academy. Otherwise, everything was green and lush. There were two gargoyle statues at the entrance, with miles and miles of trees before we could see the academy building. It was made of stone and had a gothic-style architecture. Its walls were tall and imposing, adorned with gargoyles and other intricate carvings. Despite its age, the building was surprisingly well-maintained, and it looked as if it could withstand any kind of weather. The academy grounds were teeming with students and their parents. Some of them saying goodbyes while others hugging happily. Overall there were too many of them. There was a person with glasses on and with a sophisticated look who told us that parents are not allowed inside the academy and that we will have to say goodbye in the grand foyer, there were students everywhere, with every kind of species. From dragon shifters, wizards, werewolves to vampires, in expensive looking clothing. This is what makes the arcane arts academy different and valuable. Here all of us are treated equally no matter who we are. And the education is top class from the world's leading professors teaching. It has everything. That one needs to become number one. They encourage unity between species by having activities that could be performed by everyone as one. As he pushed open the large wooden doors, we were greeted by a grand foyer. The room was filled with antique furniture, including several chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, which cast a warm, golden glow over the space. The walls were lined with portraits of the academy's founders, all of whom looked stern and imposing. I could feel the energy of the building pulsing around her, and I knew that this was a place where many powerful supernaturals had studied and trained. The atmosphere was both mysterious and intriguing, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement about what lay ahead. The snow-covered courtyard outside was equally grand, with manicured gardens and tall, imposing trees. As I looked out into the snowy landscape, I could see that the academy was located on a vast expanse of land, surrounded by mountains that rose majestically in the distance. Despite the grandeur and beauty of the academy, I knew that the training and studies that awaited me inside would be rigorous. I will have to train hard and study harder to stay here if we fail even one exam we would be expelled then and there. There are no exceptions to this rule. I will not defame my pack and my dad by failing here. And I have a bully that I have to gloat over when I get out of the academy four years later. Dad was looking at the chandelier, the portraits and everything in the room except for me. I can sense that he was not ready to say goodbye, nor was I. while alpha Brendon and eric were talking quietly going over his luggage and everything else. We stood in the corner to avoid the growing students, as someone was about to bump into me when dad grabbed me and pulled me aside. “How will you survive in a place like this?” he asked, staring at the ceiling. “You will. You are strong, you will survive anything.” he answered his own question. Holding my hand, he looked me in the eyes his kind eyes teary “don't trust anyone. If you don’t want to stay here. Or someone bullies you again don’t think for a second before coming home to me. Know that my sweet little princess there is nothing more precious to me than you. I don’t care what others think, all I care about is you. You understand?” Tears streamed down my face as I listened to him, I know that everything he said is as true as it can be. “I love you dad.” I said as I hugged him tightly. We had to say our goodbyes too soon. While we were crying hugging each other eric and alpha Brandon were joking and laughing. Not that they don’t love each other but they love each other in a totally different way. It made me wonder about how different they are compared to us. As the sun began to set over the sprawling academy campus, we stood outside the main entrance, saying our goodbyes. It was time for him to return home. We stood in silence for a moment, taking in the quiet beauty of the courtyard as the last rays of sunlight filtered through the trees. Dad looked down at me, his eyes filled with pride and a tinge of sadness. "Remember, ana," he said, placing a hand on my shoulder. "You have been given a great gift, a chance to learn and grow in ways that most people cannot even imagine. Use it wisely, and always remember who you are and where you came from." I nodded, my own eyes filling with tears. I hugged tightly one last time, taking in his familiar scent and the feel of his strong arms around me. "I will, Dad," I whispered. "I'll make you proud, I promise." He pulled back and smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I know you will, ana. Now go, and show the world what you're made of." With one last hug and a final wave, he turned and made his way back to his car, disappearing down the winding road that led back to the outside world. I watched him go; my heart heavy with emotion but my resolve strengthened by my father's words. As I turned to make my way back into the academy, I knew that I was ready for whatever challenges lay ahead.
