I hesitated. The stories he recounted about his past life, as well as his actions with Nika, suddenly echoed back. Undeniably, I was afraid he would do something indecent. "May I come in, dear?" His voice was gentle. Yet, it disgusted me. I kept the door from opening wider. "What do you want?" I asked, trembling. My heart pounded with fear.
