Ethan's POV
“Ethan!!” She screamed in shock, surprised to see me and even more so by the way I had suddenly grabbed her. “You scared me.”
“Sorry.” I smiled. “Didn't mean to scare you,” I replied. “Just wanted to give a bit of a surprise.”
“Yeah, well, don't do that next time!” she snapped and withdrew her hand from my grasp.
“Sorry about that.” I apologized. “Hey, Rebecca,” I called out to Rebecca, who stood quietly watching us.
“Hey, Ethan.” She smiled back. “Haven't seen you for a while.”
“Got busy,” I replied. “You stopped coming by my block.”
“Yeah, well, I always came to pick up or drop Amy and she doesn't live there anymore, so…” She shrugged.
Ah, yes, of course. That was a stupid thing to say. Amy was no longer living next to me. She was now with the Rays.
