Amy's POV
I hesitated at the curb. I didn't want to get into a car with Stuart. I didn't want that, and I strongly believe no sane person would want to do that either.
“Have you suddenly gone deaf?” Stuart snapped. “Get in now!”
My eyes flickered to Rebecca. She looked frightened, too, but I knew that was because of the lies she'd heard about Aaron being attacked and brutally beaten by a gang or whatever. Rebecca didn't know the real horror I was facing.
“I'll see you tomorrow, Amy.” Rebecca squeezed my hand.
I'd still be under suspension tomorrow. I said inwardly. I would be stuck at home with the monsters. Stuart was the father of the monsters and his father… I really didn't know what he was, at least not yet and my mom? My mom really surprised me.
