As we approach I can hear the horse, actually, and I’m no veterinarian but it does sound injured. I hope it isn’t too badly, I wouldn’t want to see any animal in that condition. Still, at least it’s alive. Perhaps we’ll get a horse doctor out here and everything will be fine, just another anecdote to tell. I can actually see the horse now, struggling to get up, I think, and kicking its legs, manically, frighteningly. There’s something beneath it – oh, s**t, Bastian.
