Prologue

"Isn't that the girl?"

"Oh my gosh, it is her!"

"I can't believe it!"

"Is it true?"

"She doesn't look like it."

After several years of living under the shadows of those who were great, I was finally getting attention from everyone at my school. I mean, I didn't really like being talked about all day every single day. But, it was nice for a change.

I couldn't understand what made them look up to me like I was some kind of royalty. I wanted to ask them but I didn't have the courage to. After all, I am still the shy loser who everybody thinks is disgusting and lonely.

My best friend doesn't know anything either. It was funny how it seemed like we were the only ones who were completely clueless to what was happening. I was invisible for the rest of my high school years. Why am I suddenly being noticed now?

No matter how much I thought of a reason behind my sudden popularity, I just get reminded of how they used to hate and ignore me. I was no one special. All of this is a mere puzzle to me. I needed to solve it.
