“What the hell Elliot.” I finally exploded as the last of the reporters left the room. Their curiosity finally sated.

I knew better than most what they were like, because I was one. And the calm wouldn’t last long before they started angling for their next scandal.
Elliot’s long lashes brushed his cheeks as he closed his eyes. “It was for the best.”
