At around midnight, he was woken up by the sound of his mother coming in. She walked past the sitting room without switching on the lights. He quickly fell asleep again until about 2 pm when he heard Richie come in. Richie switched on the lights and stood for a moment looking at Jonathan. He then noticed the brochure by the table. He leaned over and picked it up. Jonathan could smell the alcohol that was coming out of every pore on his body.
Richie then switched off the lights and left the sitting room with the brochure in hand. Jonathan went back to sleep.
