Episode six

Fortnight later, there’s football match between Calif football team and St. Martin's De poorest Comprehensive School. Joe stood on the lines with a red bandana tied round his head to support his team mates. After some moment ran to Precious to chat with her, she requested to buy a drink and Joe saw her off to the spot.

Ruthlyn spurned at them mockingly. However, before then Dennis had been in tiff with Precious after that night. As Denis left the other girls she bumped into Alice who is carrying a large square of canvas which she collected from him to pry into until she discovered it was Precious’s portrait it picked her to jealous though hidden.

At the kiosk Joe and Precious fell into talking that Precious told him her wish to be a doctor. The day not dark Denis decided to quash the grudge she shared with Precious and so visited her but she’s not around although, she wanted to kill two birds with a stone by also collecting a biology text book from her.

Precious ’s aunt Mrs. Karen Jackson reported the busy activities of her niece to Denis . She tried to calm her as all she could. At home she stumbled into small notes where Precious had expressed her love for what she does and Miss Rosslyn Osisiogu for making her become what she wants. Denise took it all wrongly. She eventually showed the scripted note to Joe who all together was minced with bitter feelings of jealous.

Prior to the assembly bunch of students together gossip about something they seem to read and rattled about. Chukwuemeka ran towards Precious as she passed through the students. The students are saying horrible things about you, Chukwuemeka announced to her. The boys have been looking for one thing or the other to cause her pain eventually has found one. Denis saw the boys read the letter and she rushed to Joe accusing him of divulging what she gave him in secret. Joe apologized but things have gone out of control already.

Mr. Mallum later got the hint of it as he questioned what is the noise about? He saw the original letter which he seized immediately and requested that the head boy and head girl retrieved any other ones they could. He sent for Precious immediately to come into his office.

Obianuju was the one that told Precious that the principal needs her attention where she’s been throwing up. Mrs. Jessica Effa, the guidance counsellor was amazed at such note that Precious has written. Miss Rosslyn was asked to come and explain what could be happening between them. Miss Rosslyn Osisiogu was tongue tied as she was confused with what she saw. The principal sent Precious home for a day as she left the office she stumbled at Joe . She’s disappointed at what Joe has done. However, Joe felt pity for her because the whole school have read her letter he confessed to her that Denis saw it first.

The next day the principal addressed the senior students and condemned the malicious act of the students towards their fellow students and most of all the teacher involved should have been respected.

Maris Darlington was the one that found the letter in Joe’s pocket where he was trying to get the assignment to copy from Joe’s jacket. He photocopied it into several ones and shared among the students. The principal condemns the act and have him flogged ten strokes.

Mrs. Jenny Christopher arrived from airport and Precious and her aunt have gone to pick her straight to the principal office. Precious ’s mother apologized on behalf of her daughter’s behavior and ranted that the corper teacher be also prosecuted for such acts but the principal had told her that she’s been redeployed. The principal recommended a week off classes because of a lot of unnecessary unpleasantness that has occurred. At home Mrs. Jenny Christopher raged with anger as she talked against her. Karen do clam down, aunt told her sister. Precious ’s mother called her names like harlot which is p********e.

Precious stayed in her room for the rest of the day and the next. She denied herself the meal and eventually fall into dreams that looked scary not knowing she had slumped previously and rushed to the hospital in a state of coma.
