Kerensa's POV The four of us hit the ice together for the first time on a Tuesday morning, and after only ten minutes I was more than aware of what deal I had gotten myself into. Xavier called formations out before the drill coach had even finished saying them, reading the movement two steps ahead of the rest of the people on the ice. Hunter tore down the wing so fast the assistant coaches actually paused talking to watch. Caleb slotted passes into seams I hadn't realized were there before the puck even got there, like he somehow was seeing from a vantage point I didn't have. And me. I found the seams. That's the best way I could describe it even to myself. Where the other three saw walls of the defending team, I could see the half-second window of opportunity between skaters' strides
