KAEL'S POV
I take a box of the healing kit into Diana's room. She's sitting on her bed, hair loose and scattered across her shoulders.
The healing cabin isn't large enough to cover all the injured wolves, so only those with severe injuries go in, while the rest are being given first aid.
“The injury is huge, so it won’t heal quickly on its own,” I say to her.
She nods, avoiding my gaze. She opens her mouth to say something but no words comes out. I just stand there, staring at her, not knowing what to say or even do. I know she has a lot of questions to ask. I had wished she’d never know about Alpha Zander, but I know that’s a foolish thought.
