Diana noticed that the time had past when Ben normally reached home. He didn't mention that he would be late, but Diana wasn't bothered about it. She knew he was a busy man and his time was demanding. It will get even worse eventually, when he decides to start taking his responsibilities seriously. Diana was only disappointed that the dinner would get cold. She could heat it in the microwave when he arrives, but it wouldn't be the same as serving it while it is freshly cooked and hot.
