Chapter 29

1069 Words

Diana was hurt about leaving Ben, but she thought that it was the right thing to do. He didn't even ask her what had happened, because he had already made up his mind about her and Jack. She thought that she had made a mistake moving here, but if she hadn't, she wouldn't have known that supernatural creatures existed. Diana thanked God that she had already been grocery shopping, so she didn't have to leave the house for anything. After what had happened with Ben, Diana didn't want to run into him. It would be awkward, because she wouldn't know what to say to him, or if she wanted to say anything. Not because they were mates meant that they had to be together, right? Diana entered her house and made sure that every door was locked. She searched the house, checking for anyone and anything.
