Lily’s POV
After my eventful coming out this morning I went straight to Celeste’s house to meet Chris. He wanted to introduce me to his mate Kyle. Let me tell you he was adorable as hell but now I’m sitting in my Luna office catching up on work. I haven’t heard from you since my little petty show but hey it was so worth it no matter how petty it came off. I feel empowered, like I can do whatever needs to be done to either forgive him or forget him. Only issue is I need to find out what all is going on before I do either of those things. So for now I’m gonna play it day by day till I can talk to a few elders and maybe a council member or two. I will find out what it is he is hiding from me. f**k me over once shame on you but f**k me over twice shame on me, Cel had said that so many times before but now I understand it word for word. I will do everything in my power to get my happy ending with or without him. Deciding I had done enough work I gather my things and get ready to lock up. My head is so engrossed in the task at hand that I don’t realize I have company, at least not before they scare the living hell out of me.
“Oh my moon goddess it has been forever since I saw you girl! Now why the summoning Lily” my witch best friend says before hugging me tightly.
“There is so much I need to catch you up on since we last saw each other. I have a million questions for you as well as a few favors. I’m sorry for summoning you Jazmine but this was important.” Jazmine was my best friend all through high school, she was a born wiccan and could do magic with nature or spells she was downright an amazing person. Her silver white hair had thin black streaks, her eyes a very light shade of blue making them look silver as well. She was 5 foot 3 but what she lacked in height she made up for in attitude and looks. She was always wearing the name brand fashions as well as staying up to date with her make up techniques. She was a f*****g beautiful lightly tanned, thick bodied, feisty female, that was why I summoned her if anybody could find out what I need to know it was her.
“Let’s go to our spot. I'll set it up while you finish here okay” Jazmine says before quickly placing her arms around me in a hug and poofing away in a ball of smoke.
“I’ll never get used to that” I giggled to myself before walking out of the office door and into a brick wall once again dammit.
"Where are you headed? And what have you been up to? I know there is a hidden agenda or something with you redoing your whole look. If you ask me I think you are trying to make one of us notice you, hopefully that would be me." His voice was husky and oh so f*****g sexy but if I acted on my desires I would be worse than Malcolm.
"One it's none of your business and for the record I'm your brother's mate soo not gonna happen Damien." I lied cause to be honest I would do it in a heartbeat as this man has always been there for me he has shown me what a mate is suppose to do and if I had met him before Malcolm I would have definitely pursued him, but my life has to be a b***h sometimes so nope I got the asshole. “I got to go if Malc asks, please tell him you haven’t seen me.” I start to walk away but I’m stopped by his hand grabbing my arm.
“Fine but answer me this, why the witch?” I was stunned how he knew he must have better senses than me and Malcolm. I know he is a werewolf but we never associate with our inner wolves well, not before at least. I have been attempting to connect with mine since all this happened since she disappeared. It was like my soul was missing something and now I regretted ever shunning her away. Damien must be one of the few that has actually made a relationship with his wolf as he is the only one that has ever smelled Jaz.
“Umm not now, maybe later.” I quickly rushed away headed towards our spot, the closer I got the better I felt. I knew if Jaz was here everything would be ok one way or another. Arriving at the beautiful place we call ours I see Jaz has already laid out a blanket and is soaking up the sun. I take a minute to admire the view as it always takes my breath away no matter how many times I come here, the grass is a deep lively shade of green with a mixture of colorful flowers from yellow to purple, the trees growing around us makes the spot feel secluded. We had found this place while we were playing hide and seek when we were still in elementary school, back then it was just a small pond with barely any flowers but over time she grew with us. The pond, now a good size, had lily pads here and there, a rock that I swear looks like an alligator lays half in the pond and half out over by the tree line. It is a great place to swim, breathe and just escape to be honest. Birds chirping, the breeze has a nice flow to it but you can smell the change soon to come in the air. The crisp smell of fall is present as summer is slowly coming to an end. “Ahh” I released the breath I was holding before heading over to my best friend.
“So you gonna tell me what’s going on?” she looks so serious as the words leave her mouth letting me know not to leave anything out or she would murder me. So I start from the night I found out about him cheating and everything that followed. It was gonna be a long evening.
