*Chapter 12: The Hidden Agenda*

Ava couldn't shake off the feeling of unease after Sophia's visit. She knew her sister was up to something, and she wasn't sure what.

Marcus noticed Ava's concern and pulled her closer. "Let's focus on the clinic," he said. "We have a lot of work to do before it opens."

Ava nodded, trying to push Sophia's visit to the back of her mind. But she couldn't help but wonder what Sophia's true intentions were.

As they worked on the clinic, Ava started to notice strange occurrences. Equipment would go missing, and rumors would spread about the clinic's funding. Ava knew that Sophia was behind it, but she couldn't prove it.

One night, Ava received a mysterious message on her phone. "You'll never succeed," it read. Ava's heart sank as she realized that Sophia was escalating her tactics.

Marcus noticed Ava's distress and took the phone from her. "We'll get to the bottom of this," he said, his eyes narrowing. "I'll have my security team investigate."

Ava felt a sense of relief wash over her. With Marcus's resources, they might finally uncover Sophia's true intentions.

But as they dug deeper, Ava realized that Sophia's motives might be more complex than she thought. Was Sophia driven by jealousy, or was there something more at play?
