They were led through several small passageways, many of which bore fresh scars after being recently created. As they entered and exited a succession of caverns, Robin noted how the walls and ceilings were less even, less symmetrical. Here and there he spotted more of the glassy, greenish-silver veins of metal running through the rock. He touched one large section in passing.
