Chapter 10, Dancing

858 Words
I went to the abandoned circus where I liked to practice, hooked up my speaker to play music from my phone and I just let loose. I figured the twins would be worried about where I had went but I didn’t care much. I just needed to relax and be myself for a while. “G’Day Love.” A voice behind me came out of no where and I nearly jumped out of my skin. The man behind me had tan skin like mine, but he had deep brown eyes and beautiful curly brown hair. He was clearly built but not as big as the twins. Which of course made sense, no one was as big as the alphas. I didn’t recognize this person at all and on this side of town you should never let your guard down. I thought I was safe in here, but he must have heard my music. “Sorry to startle you, love. I’m Daxton. I come here sometimes to do acrobatic stuff. I knew someone else came here but I never knew who, I’ve never seen you around.” “I-I’ve never seen you either. I didn’t know anyone else knew about this place. My name is Adrien, but most people around here call me Dancer.” “Oh, I’ve heard of you! You dance at that strip club across the street sometimes.” “Yeah, I used to anyway. I don’t think I’ll be able to do that anymore.” “What a shame I never got to see you then… “ He smirked at me and immediately I could tell he was interested. He slowly approached me and surprisingly I didn’t feel intimidated. Part of me wanted to feel guilty about talking to another guy, but I think my marks made it obvious I was taken, and I wanted to get to know this guy as friends. I’d never met anyone else interested in acrobatics. “We could dance together now,” I suggested. He smiled and grabbed my hand, pulling me into him and spinning me around. “I’d love nothing more.” At first we were slow dancing, and I’ll admit it was really romantic. He spun me around to the middle of the room, then grabbed me by the waist and threw me up into the air. I grabbed the ring hanging in the middle of the room. He walked off to the side of the floor, and pulled a handle dropping a weight bag sending me flying into the air. I spun around hanging onto the hoop, winding my body around the ring as he watched. He was turning a handle, slowly lowering me back to the ground. I continued contorting my body around the falling ring and it felt amazing! I’d never actually gotten to dance like this before and it was wonderful, any time I had been alone I couldn’t move the ropes myself. As the ring came close to where I could almost reach my feet to the floor, Daxton came over to me and grabbed me by the waist, pulling me off and spinning me in the air. “Wow, love. You’re a beautiful Dancer.” I blushed. No one had ever directly complimented my dancing before. “Thank you… I really appreciate it. You’re pretty good yourself. I can’t believe we’ve never met before.” His eyes drifted off to my neck and he sort of pouted. “I wish we had met sooner… So, two mates huh?” He giggled slightly, “the only twins in our pack I know of are—“ His eyes widened and he backed up letting go of my waist. I hadn’t realized he was still holding onto me until now. “Don’t f*cking tell me you’re the new Luna??” “Guilty… “ I smiled sheepishly at him calling me his Luna. It was an odd overwhelming feeling. “If the alphas smell me on you I’m a dead man!” He said clearly starting to panic. I giggled. “Don’t worry about it.” I grabbed his hand. “You’re my friend now, and I only have two friends counting you, so if they wanna get to you they’ll have to go through me.” He grinned and grabbed my other hand. “It’s nice to know theres another acrobatic lover in our pack.” “I was thinking the same thing. Give me your phone and I’ll add my number. You can call me if you ever need anything or someone to dance with.” “You’ve got it, love.” He smiled and handed me his phone. We exchanged a bit of conversation before he left. I decided to leave shortly after he did. I figured the twins were worried about me, but I was dreading going back. Their parents being home meant I’d have to go through the front door now to not risk being caught. For some stupid reason I had yet to put their numbers in my phone yet, so there was no giving the twins a heads up that I was on my way home.
