Jason arrived home and met Nathan in the living room awaiting his return

NATHAN

Goodness Jason you just disappeared and left me at the bar.

JASON

I'm sorry man had to deal with something that's why.

NATHAN

I bet that something is related to Mimie right?

Jason just nodded his head

I knew it. Guy don't you think you are meddling a lot in this girl's life?

JASON

It's not what you think okay. ..... If i had not showed up when I did, she would have been taken advantage of by some rascal

NATHAN

Jane and Sharon were going to the market but on their way, they met with Nathan and Jason

We thank God we are alive. How have you been?

God has been good. By the way Jane, meet Nathan my friend and Nathan this is Jane remember the last time I did mention her.

We are heading home and you girls?

We are going to the market. We want to stock up the house and since Sharon is off, I wanna use this opportunity for her to assist me in today's shopping and cooking

Jane and Sharon are in the kitchen cooking while having little chats

SHARON

Jane how did you meet Jason?

JANE

Ooh we met him at the provision store down the road

SHARON

Okay but truth be told they are both good looking

Why do I smell something in the air?

JANE

I guess there is something wrong with your nostrils cuz I can't smell a thing (Both laughed )

After cooking, they got the dinning set before inviting Jason and Nathan over.

Where is Mimie Jane?

JANE

She said she won't be joining us for dinner

SHARON

A knock on the door indicating the arrival of Jason and Nathan. They welcomed the dual and directed them to the dining table

NATHAN

JANE

I'm tempted to ask you to be our cook. (He joked and they giggled)

NATHAN

No seriously I buy what Jason's just said

SHARON

That means if you taste Mimie's cooking you guys will go bonkus

JASON

Why If i may ask?

JANE

Amongst us three, she is the best cook. She handly cooks but when she does, trust me you won't wanna stop eating her meal

NATHAN

Wao, I can just imagine

I'm surprised she is not home

JANE

She said she got something to do so she will be back late.

JASON

They continued their meal but then Mimie walked in and got stunned by the people before her .

MIMIE

Sorry guys I'm la.......Oh i didn't know we were to have guests today

JANE

Mimie you are just in time. Come join us for dinner.

Jane spoke out in fear considering the fact that Mimie does not like Jason.She joined them at the dinning while Jane helped in dishing out her food.

MIMIE

JANE

Welcome dorling. By the way this is Jason remember you guys already met and this is his friend Nathan. Sharon and I asked them to join us for dinner hope you do not mind?

MIMIE

Of course I do not. Hi Nathan, Jason.... it's good having you guys over (She awkwardly worded surprising everyone with her calm composure)

NATHAN

We are glad we were invited

JASON

I thought you won't make it back in time

MIMIE

I thought so too but luckily I got to finish what I was doing just in time to make it back home for dinner.

NATHAN

Mimie we were told you are a good cook. How true is that?

MIMIE

I do not know how true that is. (She replied without taking her eyes off her plate of food.)

JASON

Why don't we be the judge of that

MIMIE

What do you mean? She asked staring at him.

NATHAN

It's simple. Come cook for us so that we can be the judge.

JANE

You two live together?

JASON

Yes Jane we live together. So what do say concerning what Nathan just said Mimie?

MIMIE

NATHAN

Okay we will be waiting.

She gave them a tight smile while nodding in response. Sharon on the other hand has just been quiet listening to their chats as she eats her meal .

NATHAN

Sharon are you okay You have been awfully quiet

SHARON

I'm fine just didn't have anything to chirp in. But I'm all good.

THIS SCENE UNFOLDS AT THE APARTMENT OF JASON AND NATHAN FEW DAYS AFTER THE DINNER

Nathan was about heading out when Jason's phone rang. He picked up the phone and rushed to the living room handing it over to Jason.

JASON

Hello Jane

JANE

Hey there Jason. How have you been?

JASON

I'm great and you?

JANE

I'm well thank you. Ummm....Jason are

you busy?

JASON

No I'm not. Why?

JANE

Do you mind if we hang out? I'm home

alone and I feel bored

JASON

JANE

Jason pulled up and joined Jane at the restaurant. They gave their order for food with drinks and in no time, their food and drinks was served.

JANE

You look quite dashing today

JASON

Thanks Jane. You ain't bad yourself,

looking lovely as always

JANE

JASON

Where are your friends? I was quite

suprised you wanted us to hang out.

JANE

Sharon is at work while Mimie went out

to do her hair

On the other hand, Mimie got home just to be welcome by an empty house. She took out her phone called Jane numerous times but she didn't pick up

How could Jane change her program

without letting me know. She just stood me up without a care in the world (she sigh)

Back at the restaurant

JASON

Thanks for the invite Jane I had fun.

JANE

I should be the one saying thanks cuz

I had so much fun. I think we should do this again.

JASON

Sure but that will be on me okay

JANE

No worries what matters is we do this

Great. Let me take you home.

45 MINUTES LATER

JANE

Jane got into the house to see an angry Mimie

Mimie was shock for a minute there by Jane's out burst

What a Wao. Its fine but I hope you won't beg me to hangout with you in the future.

JANE

Wait ooh I no understand. Are you angry because I stood you up or you are angry with the fact that I was with Jason?

MIMIE

I'm upset because he is the reason you

stood me up.

JANE

Okay I'm sorry. The truth is, I forgot so please Jason is not the reason at all. Can we just kill it already abeg i do not wanna fight with you

JANE

Would that be bad if I'm into him? You know, I feel like God made a mistake endowing one guy with everything. I mean he is a complete package like he is everything a woman wants in a man. So tell me, would it be a crime if I'm falling for such a guy huh?
