As soon as they entered their room, Cristiano gently set Siena on her feet and began removing his suit jacket, then slowly loosened the buttons of his shirt one by one. Siena’s breath hitched. Her eyes, wet with tears, were fixed on him, wide with fear. The thought of seeing his wound terrified her. As he opened the final button and peeled the shirt off, she bit her lip hard, trying to suppress a sob. Her eyes darted away, unwilling to face the sight. For a few seconds, he stood still, bare-chested. Finally, gathering courage, Siena turned back, took a shaky breath, and glanced at his torso. Her eyes went wide in disbelief. He was unharmed.
