Mate?

440 Words
*Noah's POV* I was on my way to Wendlyn, almost there, our trip went smoothly no bandits or fiends trying to stop us. I have been to every ball in all of our neighboring kingdoms. Heck I have even been to covens, and I dislike some vampires very much! This was the last ball I have been avoiding. Ever since that war, I have been keeping a distance from Wendlyn, but I think it is time to stop being afraid and start acting. I am going to marry Princess Arthemis. I do not believe in love, therefor if I find my true mate, I shall reject her. I do not intend to love Arthemis, no, I have chosen someone to be my Luna, I'll only marry Arthemis, to unite our kingdoms. I don't care whether she has found her mate yet or not, I'll make them an offer they cannot refuse. I felt a tug on my mind, it's Bleiz. Bleiz is my wolf, sometimes a very annoying wolf, always telling me about "Mate this" or "Mate that". I sigh, "What's up dog?", I ask sarcastically. He howls, strange... he never does that. "Someone is here, I smell her.. I hear her heartbeat, it's fast. It's like she is running away from something.", he howls. Ooh What a drama King. That's when I see her, her hood is up, she is riding on a very large horse. She has this big aura around her, but I can't put my finger on it. I yell at my Beta and Delta to follow  her. My whole royal guard have arrows pointed towards her, but I see her smile twitch. She jumps over logs, dodging the arrows. I have to admit, this girl is really fast. But in the end, it is I who shoots my arrow dipped in sleeping medicine. I hit her in her back, not too hard though. I think she is a human of some sort. And before she slips to the ground , she yells at her horse, and unfortunately for us, he gets away in time. I walk closer to the figure lying on the forest floor. As I crouch down to her level, I feel Bleiz getting exited. i***t. I pull her hood off, only to reveal the most breathtaking creature I have ever seen. Bleiz howls in joy! "Are you okay Noah?", James, Delta, asked. I don't respond, but I breath in her smell. Lemongrass. Peach. Fall. Cherry blossoms. I tremble as my hand touched her cheek. Tingles. I look down on this figure once more, before admitting... "Mate.", I say in a low husky voice.
