When your plans have holes in.

When the children were around seven, word has spread that the King of Wendlyn has a daughter who is fair.From all around the world suitors have come, but the King turned them down in an instant. He wanted Arthemis to find her true mate, not marry one off because that was what was expected. 

When King Luann heard this, he immediately thought of a plan to benefit his son, young prince Noah. He was going to ask the for the princess's hand, and if they refused, they were going to be at war... For you see, King Luann wasn't a man who had a lot a patience and wasn't afraid of war, he had some of the strongest soldiers and warriors. 

So when King Luann made his proposition towards King Joshua, he waited. King Joshua suddenly denied to him. But Luann didn't  give up that easily, he kept on and on till there was a declaration of war.  Joshua growled at Luann,"You will not take my daughter, just because you want someone to marry your son. Arthemis, isn't a possession just because she is the Alpha Female!"

Luann was shocked, but now he had to get Arthemis to marry Noah. Joshua was pale, as he regretted letting his wolf out. A grim smile was all that Luann gave him, went home, and prepared for the battle. As the days went by, Arthemis wasn't aloud to play outside anymore... She had to stay inside the castle, not even knowing why. 

When the day  to battle has come, Arthemis had to stay inside a passage, only with Oscar, Amelia and Lily.She heard a lot of groans, screams and most of all... wolves snapping at each other. Luann could smell her... He thought to himself," You are mine now little girl!" As he broke through the trap door. And rushed towards her. She pushed her friends into a closet and locked the door... Although she was little, she was not dumb! She knew what was going on here, even if she was just 7.

When Luann went to grab her, Marcus, Oscar's dad, the Delta at the time snapped and protected her by standing in front of her when the wolfs bane was going to be shot into her. He injected silver into Luann as the wolfs bane hit him. They both dropped right before her eyes. 

And from that day Arthemis still has nightmares about that hideous scene that replays each time she closes her eyelids.  

Her family couldn't be more careful since that day, which meant, no more playing outside, no more roaming out of the border or into the kingdom. They kept her locked up inside her room. But she had a few passage ways she used to get Oscar and the twins come to her.  

As she grew older, she still was the kind girl who was obedient, but she can't help but wonder if her parents really love her. If they did, couldn't they see that she is almost 18, she can be treated like a superior now. Her wolf, Twilight, was begging her each day to break out of this place. She wanted to run, feel dirt beneath her paws. But she knew she couldn't disobey her parents orders. 

She sat there, miserable, until it was  her 18th birthday.

Then for the  first time, the door cracked open, and her mother, Luna Isadora, smiled at her with tears in here eyes. Like she always did. 

She took her hand,and for the first time in 18 years she left her room.
