POV:Ryan Stipston
The elevator door swung open revealing my luxurious sitting room, I stepped out of the elevator and walked towards a purple lovesac couch, I threw my suitcase on it and started undoing my tie when all of a sudden a maid ran out of the kitchen
"you welcome sir" she saida politely
"is mum home already?" I asked as I threw the tie at her face
"oh yes" she said as she caught the tie
" she's in her room" she added.
"I want a cup of coffee placed in my room in the next two minutes"
"OK sir" she replied politely and walked back into the kitchen. I ran up the stairs and knocked at the first door I saw
"come in" echoed a familiar voice from within the room. I opened the door and walked into the room, the woman in her fifties who happened to be my mum was sitted cross-legged on her king-sized bed reading a novel as always, she gave a plastic smile and said
"you look good son, how did your meeting with burt kouper go?"
"it was fine" I answered sluggishly
"and how was your trip from Mexico?" I asked immediately trying not to give a chance for the ugly marriage topic to creep in.
"fine" she said and added "And how do you see what I told you on the phone?"
I felt pissed, how could she change the topic so fast "mum... I need time" I said but she returned my statement with the look of Don't - you - get - what - I'm - saying. "Anastasia came to me and told me you manhandled her" she said with a grumpy look
"oh the b***h? She's so cheap mum" I scowled
"you don't expect me to marry her, do you?"
"that's the same thing you said for Mia and Vanessa and now Anastasia"
"mum, please as you can see I just got back from work and I need to rest" I said and headed for the door but stopped all of a sudden and turned back at her only to find her in a sober expression
"if you keep on bringing up this topic whenever you see me, I won't insist on keeping..." I stopped and look at her, feeling tensed and infuriated I walked out and banged the door behind me.
POV :Kiera Smith
I sat cross-legged on my shocking pink swing chair cuddling my big brown Teddy bear which I named gummy bear.
" Gummy bear, you have to be honest" I muttered
"are u also upset I got a job at the Stipston tower?" I shaked the bear head in a negative way
"I knew you would be the only person happy about my success, that's why I bought you a gift" I said and place the bear on the swing chair, I took a wrapped box under the bed and placed it on the bear leg
"here you go" I said
"a gift from my heart" I said and stared at the bear as if listening to what it has to say
"oh you want me to unwrap it?" I asked and unwrap the gift which revealed a big red bow tie, I wore the bow on the bear neck.
"wow!! Gummy bear you look so amazing" I said with a look of admiration and all of a sudden my bedroom door flunged open revealing kaelith
"what do you want?" I questioned in a grumbling manner
"Kiera, I and mum finally agreed to your new job if...." I couldn't wait for him to complete it when I suddenly jumped on him and gave him a hug
" oh thank you so much kaelith, you and mum are the best"
He cleared his throat and smiled "if you promised not to get angry at anyone in your workplace"
"I promiseeeee"
"now that's my twin sis" he said and we both hugged.
