POV: Killian She was gone by the time I stepped out of the shower. Her and every trace of her - shoes, bag, the dress that had pooled on my floor since sometime around midnight. All of it vanished like she'd never been there at all. Normally that's exactly the outcome I want. A clean exit, no awkward conversation, no lingering glances, no morning after that requires careful navigation.
