REVENGEE

CHAPTER SIX

At Adams High, students began to fill the school already. Some came through private cars, some through taxis, some through buses, some through motorbikes, some through bicycles and some by foot. Max and Olivia were already at school. They just entered the school when Charlie's car drove in. She came down with Kara. The driver packed the car. It was a white Toyota Avalon. The driver came down, gave the keys to Charlie and left. Olivia spotted Charlie and dragged Max towards her.

Olivia hugged Charlie and said, "Oh my Charlie, it's so good to see you. I really missed you." She pulled out of the hug and waved to Kara, "Hey Kara." Kara nodded smiling and Charlie said, "Olivia, I missed you as well, and thank you so much for Friday night."

Olivia laughed, "Oh forget it Charlie, it's alright, anything for you."

She looked at Max and nudged him slightly. Max looked at Charlie and said, "Hey Charlie, how are you?"

Charlie walked to him and hugged him saying, "I missed you Max."

She pulled out of the hug and Max said, "It's just been two days though."

Charlie was about to talk when two Bugatti Chiron entered the school at a fast speed and both cars swerved right. One of the cars almost hit Charlie. Max quickly grabbed her and the second car made screeches with the tyres and pulled up beside the other car.

Charlie stomped her feet and yelled, "Really! Can they come out already?!"

Other students swarmed around the cars. A girl named Alexa walked over to Charlie saying, "You are just lucky the driver was patient enough not to crush your legs…..oh...and finally, we have people in this school with much better cars than yours."

Charlie glared at her, "Oh wow Alexa, you are back again this time. I didn't know I would be seeing losers again."

Alexa scoffed, "Grow up Charlie. I just hope the people in those cars, whether male or female, are in our class."

Kara cut in, "What the hell is with you Alexa? Wasn't last session enough for you?"

Alexa rolled her eyes, "Oh please, you guys don't scare me, and guess what…..I'm taking you guys down this time." Then she walked into the school hallways. 

Inside the car, Michelle used her earpods to talk to Annabelle, "Hey Annabelle, can you hear me?"

Annabelle responded, "Yeah."

Michelle smiled, "Don't you love how these students love our cars, it's like they've never seen anything like it."

Annabelle rolled her eyes, "Can we go in already so we can process our files."

Michelle groaned, "Ugh, you're no fun. Well, let's move."

Immediately, both of them opened their doors and stepped out. All the students cheered, some whooped, some shrieked, some ignored them. Annabelle took her bag and locked the car. They both wore black shades. Michelle was smiling at the students that were cheering them, she loved the way they adored them. She took her bag as well and locked her car. Then they walked inside the school hallways. 

Charlie scoffed, "Show Off. Who do they think they are, and they could not even apologise for almost hitting me, especially the one in the brown cardigan." She looked at Max and said, "Hug me Max."

Max was about to decline when Bob ran to him. He hugged him tightly, "Hey man, finally I found you…..Hey girls."

Olivia hit Bob playfully, "Hey you, I'm really going to chase you when we get home." They both laughed and Bob pulled Max aside. He said, "How's Charlie?"

Max shook his head, "Clingy as always. I made it clear to her during the date that I wasn't interested in dating her, but it seems she doesn't care."

Bob nodded, "Well Max, if there's one thing I've learned about Charlie, it's that she doesn't give up." Then he asked, "Those girls that came in with the Bugatti, guess what!....They are in our class."

Max looked at him immediately, "Really?! Wow…"

Bob asked, "What are you thinking about Max?"

Max shook his head, "Nothing, it's just that those girls remind me of someone. It's like I know them somewhere but I just can't seem to know where."

Bob burst into laughter, "Oh man Max, come on, they just moved to town, it's not possible."

Max didn't respond and Bob pushed him playing, "Race you to class!!" Max laughed, "Oh come on!!" Then both of them ran to class.

Charlie smiled as they left and said, "Oh, I wish he can be happy like that with me, and laugh unconditionally."

Olivia looked at her and said, "You don't have to worry Charlie, I'm here to help."

Kara cleared her throat, shooting a harsh and angry look at Olivia and said, "Come on, class...let's go to class." Then the three of them went to class.

The class was noisy, all students were in class already. There were twenty students in the class and two empty seats have been provided, one beside Max and another beside Alexa. Everybody's name has already been printed on their seats, which makes it easy not to switch seats. Charlie walked in, she was sitting beside Kara as usual, Olivia was sitting with Bob, while Max was alone, waiting for his partner. Bob nudged him, "Seems like you are with one of the new kids then."

Max looked at the name. It was Annabelle Thompson. Max nodded and Bob went back to his seat. Charlie was looking at the empty seat from her seat, "Oh why are our names printed on our seats this time? This is so annoying."

Kara asked, "What's annoying?"

Charlie sighed, "Well, I was planning to sit with Max this time and well, since our names are printed, I'll just ask Miss Megan if she can put me there….you know, as the star student."

Kara asked, "So, you expect me to sit here alone….or probably with a new student. Be realistic Charlie."

Miss Megan entered and the noise reduced as they greeted her. She told them to settle down properly. She asked, "So kids, my favourite class….how prepared are you for this last year, concerning your academics, social lifes...and even prom. I'll ask just three people." She looked round and pointed at Alexa, "You first."

Alexa shrugged, "I'm ready for everything Miss Megan, especially throwing some people in the garbage, putting them in their places." She looked at Charlie and Kara. Charlie glared at her and Miss Megan responded, "Well, not what I was expecting, but thank you Alexa."

She pointed at Kara, "Tell me what you have Kara."

Kara shook her head, "Well, I have nothing." Charlie stood up, "Why don't I speak for her Miss Megan?" Miss Megan nodded and she continued, "High school is a stage in our lives that must not be forgotten and not be thrown away carelessly. I am going to make the most of my last year, I'm going to also find love….well I've found love though, but this time, I would be in a relationship with the one I love and we would be prom king and queen." She looked at Max, then back at Miss Megan and sat down. Miss Megan nodded, "That's really fantastic Charlie….now onto the last person." She looked round on pointed to a girl sitting at the end of the room, "Yeah Rose...talk."

Rose stood up shyly and said, "I just want to graduate with a good result." Then she sat down. Miss Megan clapped her hands saying, "I love all the responses you guys gave. They are wonderful. Now…." She paused and continued, "This has never happened before but we have two new students joining us today, their names are Annabelle and Michelle….you know what, let me bring them in." She went outside and saw Annabelle standing, she asked, "Where's your sister?"

Annabelle answered, "Oh that, she went to get something in her car, she would be here soon."

Miss Megan nodded, "Well come on in, the students want to meet you."

She walked in following Miss Megan. Miss Megan said, "There are two like I said, but the first one is here now, so please, introduce yourself."

Annabelle cleared her throat and removed her shades, "Good morning. My name is Annabelle Thompson, I'm eighteen years old and it's so good to meet all of you."

Max couldn't keep his eyes off her, he knew she looked familiar, the voice also sounded familiar. She was so beautiful. 

They all clapped and Miss Megan said, "Thank you Annabelle, please go to your seat over there, beside Max."

Annabelle nodded and went to sit beside Max. Miss Megan continued, "Today would be a free day for all of you. Make the best of it, because classes would soon start. I love you guys." Then she left the class.

Annabelle wondered where Michelle was. She texted her immediately and Michelle said she was on her way. 

Charlie stood up and walked to her, "Hey….Annabelle. I'm Charlie, the most popular girl in this school."

Annabelle looked at her and recognized her immediately as the girl who pushed her to the ground that night. She couldn't believe she was in the same class as her. She smiled," I'm Annabelle. Nice to meet you Charlie."

Charlie then said, "You can't sit here."

Max and Kara looked at Charlie immediately and Annabelle said, "According to what Miss Megan said, and according to my name printed on this locker, I sit here."

Charlie was already getting pissed, "Hey newbie, do not get smart with me. Besides, you almost hit me with your car earlier and I demand an apology."

Alexa yelled from the back, "Really Charlie! Being a b***h to the new girl!"

   "Oh shut up Alexa." She turned to Annabelle and Annabelle apologized, "I'm so sorry, I didn't realize."

Charlie smiled and said, "Oh that's so nice, now get up."

Max cut in, "Charlie, what's wrong with you? You can't just tell her to stand up, this is rightfully her seat." Annabelle looked at Max and recognized him immediately as well. He was the guy! The one she couldn't stop thinking about!!

She was short of words and turned to Charlie angrily standing up, "Excuse me Charlie, I don't know who you are, what you are, but I'm not going to leave here, this is my seat for all we know."

Charlie pushed her, making her fall back to her seat, "No one stands up on me. You sit."

Annabelle glared at her and Charlie threatened, "Hey, stop glaring at me or you would regret it." Annabelle didn't answer but glared at her the more. 

Charlie was pissed and raised her hand to slap her. As she raised her hand to hit Annabelle, someone grabbed her from behind. She turned to look at the person and yelled, "Let go of me." The person released her and Charlie yelled, "Who the hell do you think you are?!"

The person smiled, "Michelle." Then she removed her shades and said, "Her twin."

Charlie and others were surprised and Olivia squealed, "Oh my God, Twins!!"

Michelle looked at Charlie asking, "So, what was it you wanted to do to my sister, let's discuss."

Charlie was embarrassed already and went to sit. Michelle whispered to Annabelle, "Now that's a good first day."

She looked around and saw an empty seat beside Alexa, she walked to her and said, "Michelle." She sat down and Alexa responded, "I'm Alexa and I'm so glad you are my partner."

Charlie glared at Michelle for a while and whispered to Kara, "What the hell?"

Kara was neutral and said, "I told you to leave her alone Charlie, but you refused."

  "Really Kara, whose side are you on?"

Kara laughed, "Your side actually, don't worry….we will handle them. We can take care of them."

Charlie groaned, "I just can't believe this is happening, no matter what happens, I won't let anyone ruin my final year in high school."
